We specialize in furniture repair. Located in Boise, Idaho we will come to you and fix your furniture! Whether you have a scratch in a leather ottoman, claw marks on your couch, a worn dental chair, water stains on your wood coffee table, or just a broken mechanism in your favorite chair, we can help!
McDowells leather upholstery repair has 26 years of experience in the Treasure Valley. We smooth down cracks, sew up holes and re-dye the leather to its original color. Our skilled technicians can recondition your leather to bring it back to that soft feel you had when you bought it. Pigmented and sealed leather is identified by putting a drop of water on the surface in an inconspicuous area.
Vinyl is a manufactured covering which dries out over time and loses its flexibility. McDowells will size up the nature of the damage and placement for durability and cosmetics. Often, we can tuck a damaged area in behind another seam or stretch the affected area to blend beneath another panel. Fabric repair in the field varies from woven patterns to microfiber.

These guys were referred to me for paintless dent removal by another body shop so I figured they must be legit, and they did not disappoint! I’ve had two dents removed on my 4Runner.
The first one they completely removed so I went back for another one and was in disbelief at how good it looks, and at a fraction of the cost for going with a full body shop job.
They were super professional and on time. I highly recommend.

They were courteous and responsive from the very first email and phone call. Matt and Nate were awesome, professional and honest. I took my truck in to have them look at the scratch to determine what it would take to repair it. See the before and after photos below. They pulled it right into the shop and took care of me. I am going to use them for some detailing and upholstery work in the future. I feel like I can trust these guys to do a good job at a fair and reasonable price.

Fantastic business. Nate was responsive, super thorough and friendly. It was obvious that he takes immense pride in his work and truly cares about doing the best job possible for customers. We were crushed that after having our car back from the body shop for only a week, we dropped a light fixture on the hood! Nate was able to professionally repair the dent and my husband was so relieved. Just a nice guy. We’re thrilled!

I stopped by to show them and get an estimate for a door ding in my BMW last Friday. They quoted me a fair price for the work and I asked about schedule. They had an opening the very next Monday morning!
Logan showed up right on time and got to work. It took him about 20 minutes to carefully work out the dent. He did an awesome job, it was perfect.
I went to McDowells because I had used them for an upholstery repair on a leather chair. They had done such a good job on it that I was happy to find they do dent repair as well. I have another dent repair project for them on my Ford. If they can pull

I just got my jeep back last night after fighting seat repairs for years. I couldn’t be more thrilled with Matt at McDowell’s and all those that helped make this possible. Everyone inside the store have always been super helpful but I feel Matt went above and beyond. After multiple phone calls about fabric (COVID) delays he helped me find an alternative route. Estimator Torson Kramer and Technician Tayler Sawyers did a outstanding job of recovering our bar stools and replacing the extremely hard foam cushion on our accent chair. Torson was very helpful in assisting us in fabric and foam choices and keeping us updated on the order and installation time frame. Tayler did a fantastic installation job as the attached pictures show. We are very happy with the finished product and highly recommend the McDowells team.

We have collected Craftsman furniture for thirty years and have had many pieces reupholstered. This was the best job by far. Great choices of leather and fabric. We went with leather on this one. The quality of the hide was outstanding. The quality of the stitching by Jason was amazing. I give my highest recommendation. Customer service, top notch. Quality of outcome, top notch. I set a cheap ottoman from Amazon on my Aniline Leather Chair while construction was being finished in my bonus room, the stain bled and was so bad honestly I didn't think it could be saved. McDowells worked tirelessly on my chair for months and I recently picked it up and it looks so much better. I didn't have to go buy a replacement one. McDowells was great with communications and updates Torsen & Sandra really helped me with this one. They've also fixed my center console on my car and I couldn't be more grateful for their help and can't recommend them enough!
