Dave was an assistant manager of the DR Equipment factory store in Enfield CT. He was involved with every aspect of running an equipment dealership for a major equipment manufacturer. He also received extensive training at the DR corporate headquarters in Vergennes VT. When DR decided not to continue their factory store program, they vacated their Enfield CT store.

The former DR store which was a 6,000 square foot building included a 3,000 square foot showroom and 3,000 square foot service/parts department. The large building started to fill up quickly with new consumer and commercial equipment, along with a backlog of customer machines requiring service.
