Giles Woodworks is a full service custom cabinet and furniture manufacturer. We service a wide range of needs, both commercial and residential. Everything we design and build for our customers is fabricated and finished in our Milford, New Hampshire facility. We take the project from basic concept through to final installation, and work with designers and architects, or directly with the end user.
We are very fortunate here in New England to have an array of quality suppliers to keep us stocked with the finest plywoods, veneers, and hardwoods to use in our projects. In the finishing room, we use only the best paints and lacquers to get the superior results our customers expect.

Services
Our company was started in Chicago in 1989 by our chief cook and bottle washer, Christopher Giles. Chris learned fine furniture design and construction in Grand Rapids, Michigan during the 80's. Known then as the "Furniture City", it was fertile territory for honing your craft as a designer and cabinetmaker.

When we remodeled our kitchen in 1991, with semi-custom cherry cabinets, the space we allowed for a refrigerator was, we hoped, big enough for any future replacement. The cabinet above was 67 inches from the floor. We never dreamed that almost 30 years later almost every fridge on the market was over 70 inches tall, and the one we wanted was 71-1/2 inches.
What we wanted was a cabinetmaker to take out the existing cabinet and replace it with something shorter but that still looked good in the space. One woodworker we contacted said he couldn't take the job, but recommended Giles Woodworks of Milford
