Not the cheapest but the best in my opinion my Denali's transmission went out on Tuesday they picked it up got it fixed by Friday

Took my van to Ralph’s Transmision for a transmission diagnostic, all the ladies at the front desk was very friendly and easy to talk to.
Ericka was very thorough with the scope of the service and give advices of what need to be done.

I brought my car in for a blown transmission… and additional repairs that were needed were found during the initial inspection/ diagnosis…
From the initial call , free tow to the shop and through the entire repair, Erica, my contact at the shop kept me informed and updated !!!
The repairs took a little longer than estimated, but Erica arranged for a rental car (with a great discount) and great customer service!!!

I'm glad that I found this place, they are very attentive, professional and they're turnaround time is awesome . They towed my truck into their shop and diagnosed it at no charge, they also kept me informed on the diagnosed process step-by-step and when everything was all said and done "including extra services requested by me" the cost was unbeatable. After a horrible used car purchase experience from Tracy Toyota, Ralphs was 3rd and last choice for transmission repair. Originally, we purchased our 05 Jetta from Tracy Toyota not long ago. The car appeared to be in good condition cosmetically, had previous owner service records, had gone and passed dealer certified 200+ point inspection. After having car for just 1-2 weeks, not driven too far from home 4-5 miles to/from work we took a family road trip. I brought my car to Ralph's after getting a quote from the dealer for $9100. I about died. Ralph's made the repairs and saved me some serious money. My car did give them a hard time and it took longer than expected. Even though it took longer I knew it was because they wanted it to be right. The ladies up front a knowledgeable and professional.

I was looking for a great and trustworthy shop to repair my Silverado so I found Ralph’s transmission and reading their reviews I decided to take my truck to them and that was the best decision the shop is very clean and organize the 2 girls in the front desk super nice and professional specially Erika my truck was ready the time they said will be ready. Very professional shop. Matter of fact I haven’t ever seen a cleaner shop in my life. Bathroom was so clean I was shocked for a shop. Staff was professional at front desk and was very informative on the rebuilding of my Transmission. They called a kept me up dated on other things that needed fixed. I got another bid from a very well known Shop and bids were with in a few bucks of each other. The other shop was dirty and did a very poor job on even diagnosing the problem . They offered me a 18,000 mile warranty or two months! Ralph’s gave me a 100,000 mile warranty or 3 years. It’s. No brainer

A great place. They offer financing, but we didn't need it. It is nice to know they will have your car done in such a short time, and have a great 3 year warranty. Definitely will come back, if the transmission goes out in my other car. The price is fair I would say for the piece of mind. No one wants to spend a couple thousand on a car, but I much rather spend on a car we own than go put the same amount as a down payment for a car I don't own. Great job, and friendly front desk👍🏼

I called to set-up an appointment to have my 2006 Chevy 2500 Duramax diesel with 182,900 miles checked out. The young lady I. The phone was very professional and informative. Fixed my car, had a light come on, they took my car in right away and fixed it. Had the light come on again, so they took it in and mechanic ran a couple of tests for 3days to figure out what it could be...long story short, it got the job done, lights don't come on and car works great. The customer service is great and the quality of the job is emasculate.

97 f350 with a E4OD tranny. When it was time for a rebuild I found Ralph's through yelp because the only places I was recommended to were in the Bay Area and I needed something local.
Awesome customer service, knowledgeable, always contacting me with updates and they stand behind their work. Great turn around time to complete all the work and I ended up having a faulty torque converter. Ralph's did a full trans re-inspection, replaced the faulty parts and everything was covered under their warranty no questions asked. Highly recommend them for your vehicle trans repairs.

It seems that I found out about this place purely by chance but I'm so glad that I did. After purchasing a used vehicle from a local shady used car dealer near downtown Modesto, I was astounded to learn that my transmission had completely gone out only 2 months after purchasing the vehicle.
After the shop that the dealer "strongly recommended" didn't answer the phone, I was blessed to find Ralph's Transmission.

duty jobs like having them rebuild a full transmission there more
for simple small jobs only, then if they charge more the the dealership

I live by Sea World in San Diego. I drove over 450 miles to get my truck RALPH'S Transmission. The girls up front are friendly and professional.
AFTER a BAD experience with a transmission shop in San Diego, I decided I would drive my 97 F20 4x4 to Modesto with its missing 2nd gear.
I-5/99 all the way and really no trouble to get a better transmission REBUILD and a great warranty. I have told my friends in San Diego if they need a transmission Ralph's is the place to go.
The truck was done in 4 days. I couldn't return for almost another week to get my truck. That was no problem

My Yukon had begun shifting funny so during a routine maintenance trip to the dealership I asked them to service the transmission. After servicing, the adviser let me know that the transmission fluid looked very good and clean, but that they did noticed a "flair" between 2nd and 3rd gear. He recommended doing nothing at the time, but prepped me that it would likely need a new transmission sometime in the future.
Being that I can't "wait" for it to fail, I turned to YELP and searched for the best transmission
