Sampino's Towne Foods is a charming Old World Italian Deli tucked away in a quaint strip mall located in the corner of 16th and F streets of downtown Sacramento. We offer a full selection of fresh pastas, raviolis, pasta sauces, meats, seafood, Italian imported goods, and wine. Our award winning deli offers take out or dine in.
A special eight course dinner is served every Friday (reservation only). At Sampino's you'll receive the kind of service you might have gotten 75 years ago in a small Tuscan village. Homemade Italian sides & entrees can be found in the deli case along with sausages made fresh in the Italian tradition with a hand-grinder that dates back to 1893.

Wow!!! This place is amazing! I can't say enough about it. The attention to detail into each and every ingredient is out of this world. I haven't had a dish here that I said to myself "Wow, this is the best I ever had". Don't tell the wife though. Without a doubt top 5 favorite place to eat in sac. Thank you Sampino family you guys really do it right.

The food is fantastic and the service is equally great. I had the red snapper and my husband had the flatbread pizza. Both were delicious. My red snapper was crispy and came with a wonderful wine sauce with capers over a bed of arugula and veggies. The flatbread pizza had just the right amount of the delicious sauce, cheese and toppings. You can tell a good restaurant when the food comes to the table piping hot. Everything is fresh and flavorful and the place has a great family atmosphere. The place also has a great history. The building dates back to the 1930's, but has been lovingly refurbished

Arrived at about 12:50pm or so. Not crowded but steady flow of customers. Recommended by a friend so ny husband and I decided to try it. Ordered 2 sandwiches to go. I had tritip that was tender and moist and thinly sliced. Lettuce, tomato, and ciabatta roll were fresh. Husband had "spicy" Italian sausage but said it wasn't very spicy. He likes spicy that feels like your mouth, tongue, and throat are on fire so the spicy Italian sausage just might be spicy to the average palate. A small salad came with each sandwich. In addition to the sandwiches, there was an array of Italian cold cuts, cheeses

I've wanted to go to Sampino's for a while but the time never quite aligned correctly. Their hours are limited at both locations and their Kitchen at Joe Marty's was closed for a week while their owners went on a (probably much needed). I got to stop by their deli earlier this week and really enjoyed it!
They've got an assortment of sandwiches on their menu and a fairly long line if you go during lunch. Some of the guys in line mentioned they were from the Bay Area and specifically stop at Sampino's when they're in the area. Regulars also have me side and appetizer

The food here is freaking amazing. Their potato salad is legit the best I've ever had. My wife craves a meatball sandwich from here at least twice a month. I'm happy to oblige. The family that runs this place is always kind.
As a side note, after years of being a patron a mutual friend of ours divulged that she use to work here. She could not say enough nice things about the management. It's really cool to see local companies with a heart of gold. I love supporting places like this. You should too.

It doesn't get better than this downtown deli. We've been coming here since it opened maybe 10 years ago. The sandwiches and salads are primo. So happy they made it through the pandemic. Top quality food, great service and selection, very reasonable prices. Please come in and give them your biz. Even had frank Sinatra playing over the sound system.

Wonderful folks working here!
It was 110 degrees and my first "maskfree" day in Sacramento, so I stopped into Sampino's to grab some fresh pastas for dinner from their deli.
I was greeted by a super friendly gentleman who helped me pick out the fresh Raviolis, sauce and of course the Garlic Bread They have a medley of fresh pastas and sauces.
As I waited for them to bag it up, he offered me an "on the house" fresh lemonade! So nice and it was so good and ice cold.
P.s. when I got home I saw a green salad was added :-)
It was a lovely experience for my first day

Honestly, this place is better than most Italian restaurants in Sacramento.
I recently tried (and became obsessed!) with Joe Marty's, the Sampinos location on Broadway. It has been having weird COVID hours, so I tried this location instead. The owners are so accommodating. I was craving an eggplant parm sandwich, and even though they do not offer it at this location, they happily made it for me. The owners seem genuinely grateful for business during the pandemic, and it is very nice to see.
The eggplant parm was amazing (as always). I was also happy to go to this location because they have
