Services
My practice is devoted to working with children, adolescents and adults to help them deal with difficulties in their relationships and in their personal lives. Problems in work, in relationships and within families happen to all of us.when is it time to seek professional assistance? Unable to function as usual, affecting job, family, daily activities or the ability to concentrate.
As a licensed Clinical Psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience, I am dedicated to helping you make positive, lasting changes in your personal life and your relationships. Trust and collaboration are the foundation of a successful therapeutic relationship. Together we will explore your feelings and thought patterns and focus on what you would like to change in your life.
You have the option of submitting a receipt of our sessions to your insurance company for reimbursement. Your insurance company will reimburse you based on services received from an "out-of-network provider." Please let me know if you would like me to provide you with a monthly invoice for you to send to your insurance company.
Q: What kind of people do you tend to work with? I also have extensive experience and training assisting children, teens and families struggling with; divorce, remarriage, loss and grief among others. I work very effectively with children and teens who are showing signs of low self-esteem, anger, excessive sadness/worrying and with behavioral problems (school failure/fighting/defiance).
If you are curious about the potential of Psychotherapy and how it might be helpful to you or a loved one, I encourage you to contact me for a complimentary 20-minute consultation about your concern. If we decide that a preliminary virtual session would be beneficial, we can schedule an appointment at that time.

I had the opportunity to meet with Dr. Ray during a seminar we were both participating in. Dr. Ray is incredibly warm and compassionate and demonstrated excellent clinical skills and thoughtfulness. What's more, Dr. Ray creates an environment of ease and acceptance and creates a positive rapport with those around her. Dr. Ray is also skilled in the technique of "Brainspotting" which is a modality known for its potency and efficacy to process stress and difficult issues.

Dr. Ray was highly recommended to me by my doctor. She was able to foster an environment that allowed me to be open and honest. I quickly felt like she understood and was able to empathize and identify with the problems that we needed to work on. She had the tools and strategies to help me work through the situation that I was not able to before!

I started seeing Dr. Ray in 2010 and she helped me greatly with my issues. She was never anything other than warm, caring, and attentive. I never felt uncomfortable sharing things with her. I recently had to contact her for help with something again and she was very willing and still remembered me, even though I haven't been her patient for more than 3 years. I have seen a few therapists due to insurance changes and the like, but Dr. Ray was my favorite and the one I felt most comfortable with.

My review on Carol Ray has been removed a few times now. It is really too bad that honest reviews can be removed by the practioner. I will keep this one very simple. I just hope to save someone the awful experience I had to go through with her. I left the session feeling much worse than before the appointment. She truly should not be allowed to interact with grieving parents or children, she will further traumatize them. I have filed an official complaint with the Board of Behavioral Sciences. If this review is removed again, I will contact YELP directly to report it as poor business practice
