You're suffering from long-term depression that won't heal even though you've had therapy. Depression and anxiety are not your fault. There are many reasons why people suffer from these challenges. While you may feel hopeless and like there are no answers, these conditions can be treated successfully with psychotherapy.

Sometimes relationship issues don't seem to have a solution. The behavior of one person is counterproductive to communication and connection. When this happens, the other party can become frustrated and even feel that it is his or her fault. It may not be anyone's fault-it may be Asperger's. Counseling and education can help.

Depression, both mild and more severe, is the "common cold" equivalent in the world of mental health. Most women and a high percentage of men will experience depression at one or more points in their lives. When depression is severe, it can become resistant to treatment. As strange as it sounds, people often don't realize that they have depression even though they may have had it for quite a while.
Traumas and little traumas (traumatas) are the cause of a lot of emotional suffering and illness. We often don't realize how much these events and memories can interfere with our well-being and physical health. Many of us habitually minimize the rough times we have experienced in a best effort to cope and march on with life.
While other mental health challenges can be hard to discern, anxiety is often obvious and more difficult to ignore. While the root of anxiety means literally to "vex or trouble", there are many different presentations of anxiety. A few of the more common versions besides generalized anxiety include: phobias, panic disorder, social anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
If you are suffering from bipolar, you know how debilitating this condition can be. There is hope. By working with an experienced therapist, you can gain the skills and self-awareness that will enable you to lead a normal and happy life. Bipolar, or manic depression, is one of the most misdiagnosed mental health conditions.
Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) is a psychotherapy treatment for trauma that has been deemed effective by numerous professional studies. EMDR was developed by Francine Shapiro to resolve the development of trauma-related disorders caused by exposure to distressing, traumatizing, or negative life events such as rape or military combat.

Kathleen is a savvy angel. I hadn't been to therapy for 30+ years (I'm 50) and I lived with a lot of trauma. I made the decision to address it and read the book "The Body Keeps the Score" to understand how the body holds onto trauma and learned about EMDR therapy. I researched the treatment and who was certified and the best in the treatment and fortunately found Kathleen. What I also found was an incredible therapist who was able to help me navigate my life today as well as heal the traumas of the past. Everything in my life improved when I finally started seeing Kathleen

Absolutely amazing at what she does. After many years of searching for the right therapist, my search came to an end. Kathleen has been extremely accommodating, helpful, and understanding, not only with mental health but with any aspect she can. She's helped me through College, finding my place in the career force, and beginning a family. I drive over 30 minutes just to see her and would drive even more if I had to. I highly recommend having a session with Kathleen, it will change your life.

If I could give Kathleen twenty stars it wouldn't be nearly enough.
I have an adult son with Aspergers. After searching for someone to help him he was lucky enough to find Kathleen. Her calm and caring ways were perfect for him. Her knowledge of Autism is phenomenal and she knows a great deal about programs available in the area. After dealing with his severe depression she arranged and helped him apply for an employment program through the National Autistic Research Foundation. To say she has changed his life is an understatement! With her care, help and knowledge she has helped

I worked with Kathleen for over a year. She is intelligent, compassionate, humorous and insightful. She is an extraordinary listener who helped me connect the dots and I moved forward in resolving some issues in my life. She also is very skilled in EMDR,if you are looking for that modality. I had to move out of the area,or I would still be working with her. I can't recommend her enough.

It is hard when you call a therapist from a list of providers given by your insurance and she tells you they are only cash pay. That is the provider responsibility to get off insurance lists. I did not like that she was willing to take me if I pay cash but once she found out I have insurance she said she is full....hmmmmm....

Kathleen is smart, compassionate, and insightful. She has helped me over my own hurdles and I freely recommend her to anyone experiencing relationship issues, family issues and personal challenges. Kathleen makes herself available, and provides her clients with a sense of calm, control and assurance that they will success with the issues for which they are seeking help. I have referred good friends to Kathleen and they have thanked me profusely for the recommendation.
