Kat Cheng Yoga
Hi! I'm Kat and I am a RYT Yoga Instructor for the OC/LA area. At a young age, I had to undergo surgery to remove my gallbladder due to an infection, which resulted to habits that changed my life for the better. I became consistent with health and fitness. I immediately fell in love with yoga as this practice grounds me in my busy life.

At the same time, it challenges me to reach my fullest potential. I believe what you consume plays a huge role in staying healthy and achieving your fitness goals. Through my certification in Nutrition, I am able to provide my students with a personalized meal plan based on their needs/goals as well as implementing a tangible yoga practice.
Services
My mission is to guide students through a safe and accessible, yet challenging practice as each session is catered to my students' needs and individualized goals. It is to provide a service for students to improve their daily lives mentally and physically. In each session, we focus on correct breathing and proper alignment.

Kat was literally the sweetest little yoga instructor you could find! I had her teach a private class for a bachelorette party I was planning and she was so awesome! She was very quick to respond and so easy to plan this event with during the pandemic.

Some of the girls were new to yoga so she was patient, VERY helpful, and encouraging to all. The girls totally loved it and I definitely recommend!

Let me start off by saying I took CorePower classes regularly for years, but I've never come across an instructor as warm and genuine as Kat. What differentiates her from the rest is that she has an authentic passion for yoga and teaching - she is gentle yet challenging, and she is extremely informative yet somehow not overwhelming whatsoever. She taught weekly corporate yoga classes at my work, and although we had different instructors come in each day, everyone in my office exclusively wanted to take Kat's class. I've taken a lot of yoga classes, and Kat is literally one of my favorites!! My company hired her for a corporate yoga class, and eeeveryone who took the class loved it and wanted it to be a weekly thing. She makes the class challenging enough, while explaining all poses, so everyone can follow.

AND Kat has the best yoga voice. If you take her class, you'll understand.

I took Kat's class this past Saturday and it was great! I got into yoga not too long ago and comparing it to all the studios I've been to, Kat's class is one of the best! It was interesting too because not many yoga classes out there include abs. Since yoga is focused a lot on breathing in the deepest parts of a stretch, working out abs really got me to work just a bit more on my breathing.
Her song choices are on point as well! It got me to calm my breathing when breathing got difficult as well as keeping my mind at ease with the good vibes. Kat will also boost everyone up by telling

I've taken yoga with Kat at Ultimate, and it's such a nice break in the middle of the work day! She really has you be present in the moment, and for those 30 minutes everything else melts away. Kat will work with you at whatever level you are in yoga, offering options for both regular and more advanced stretches. I leave feeling relaxed and at peace. I would highly recommend!

I took private lessons recently with this small bundle of joy.
I recently tore my meniscus and I have to take a lot of physical therapy sessions to recover.
One of the things my doctor recommended is me looking into alternative activities to gain flexibility in my leg. My leg and back have been stiff ever since my injury.

I am a complete beginner at anything stretching related. I do not stretch prior to my workouts so this was both a challenge and a lesson.
Kat was able to accommodate me as a beginner and guided me through many poses and exercises that helped me progress. By the end of the day

Chaturanga??? More like.. KAT-uranga.

I am a first-time yoga student and had the pleasure of having my first class instructed by Kat. As a first-timer, I feared not getting the proper attention I would need as a beginner to experience and enjoy the art that is yoga. However, Kat managed to not only teach a great Yoga class, but also took the time to sing praises to the students who excelled, while also instructing those who needed a little more help(aka me). Doing yoga is one thing, but teaching is a whole other level, and she was able to do it with such ease and enthusiasm.

Kat is genuine in her passion for yoga and alignment for others. Her classes cater to all levels of students incorporating plenty of modifications. She somehow finds a way to be both encouraging for beginners while challenging intermediate students. I would highly recommend Kat to anyone who seeks body alignment with physical practice.

I love taking Kat's yoga classes at CorePower Yoga! You can tell she puts a lot of thought in every class that she teaches, dropping helpful tips for deeper stretches and giving you words of encouragement. The 60 minutes I'm with her leaves me feeling relaxed and accomplished every. single. time. Not to mention her positive energy that can brighten up anyone's mood!

I'm ecstatic that she's offering private lessons and can't wait to book my 1 on 1 with her :)

I have known Kat since my third year of college! She was always so friendly and welcoming, so when I found out she was beginning her journey to become a yoga instructor it was super fitting! I've taken her Sculpt class at Cowerpower a few times now and always leave feeling like I got my butt kicked (in a good way!). Whether you want to condition to be come stronger or meditate in a safe mental space, Miss Kat Cheng got you!

She is now doing privates and I can't wait to do one with her :) I am a fan of privates! The instructor really gets to cater to your individual needs and constructs

Kat is one of my favorite instructors at CorePower! She has an incredible energy and you can really tell that she puts a lot of time and effort into creating her classes/flows. I've taken both her yoga sculpt and C2 classes and she is amazing at both styles. She makes an effort to get to know her students and is truly such a pleasure to be around. Kat is so knowledgable and passionate and her love for yoga really shows!

I'm excited to hear that she is starting private sessions. I would love to invite her over to my company for some corporate yoga!

If you're looking for a yoga instructor look no further! I took one of Kat's classes at Corepower Yoga and I was more than impressed. It was my first time doing hot yoga and I was a little nervous when we started but that went away quickly. Kat had such a calming yet bright energy and it was not too difficult to follow along to all the moves. I think the class was great for beginners, but don't let that fool you! It was definitely challenging and I left the studio knowing I had gotten a kickass workout in. I've taken a couple of other yoga classes at other places since then

If you're looking for a private yoga instructor kat is definitely the choice for you. The reason I came to kat was because of the back pain I experienced due to having tight glutes and hamstrings.

I've taken many public classes and they just didn't do it for me since my main focus was to stretch my glutes and hamstrings. I knew it was about time for me to get into private yoga so I could get more attention on the areas that I wanted and I'm so happy that I made the jump.

I've taken 12 classes so far and my flexibility has increased drastically. The pain in my back is

Let me tell you this- I am not flexible at all and was always intimidated to try yoga because I cannot stretch like others. But I decided to take Kat's Yoga Sculpt class because not only do I get a feel of yoga, there are weights involved to get a good sweat in. Kat's energy and aura definitely made me feel comfortable. Great instructor!

Kat was just the most amazing instructor! I have a sciatica and my doctor told me that yoga was an alternative. So I went for the first time at Core Power at the Tustin location, and that hour was just so relaxing. She had helped me start my journey to a pain free life! I started off a little uncomfortable with all the stretches but she had helped me to get to a place of just complete relaxation. I have already convinced my other friends to go with me to my next class with Kat and hopefully others that read this review will take my word and take a class with her too!

Kat was one of my yoga instructors at Corepower Yoga and she was the perfect instructor for a beginner. It was my first time doing yoga so it was fairly daunting, but Kat was super energetic and approachable in a way that made me feel more comfortable, especially being the only guy in the class.

Although challenging, yoga is something I never saw myself enjoying and my mind did a 180 after taking this class. I definitely would recommend her as an instructor to anybody at ANY level of yoga. I'll be sure to be back!

I can surely say you haven't met a passionate yoga expert until you have met Kat Cheng! Her zeal for yoga and helping others is unmatched by any of the other yoga places I have tried in the surrounding areas. Not only does she guide you step by step towards improvement each time, but she also understands that the ability to make certain advance postures is a gradual process.
