Services
The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) developed a code that outlines proper maintenance of chimneys, fireplaces, vents and solid-fuel-burning appliances. This code (NFPA 211) states that a chimney should be professionally swept each and every year. At Young's Chimney Service, our technicians sweep and clean chimneys according to code, so you can be sure you have a well-maintained chimney.
A fireplace or stove can be a beautiful addition to your home, and a wonderful excuse to join together and enjoy the company of your friends and family. But fire is dangerous, and the only thing that's standing between you and danger is your chimney system. When you know that your chimney system is in top shape, you can enjoy a fire without worrying.
Considering the job of the firebox, damages are incredibly dangerous. Your firebox contains every fire that you light, and protects your home and possessions from the heat and byproducts of each fire. When you have cracks or gaps in your firebox excess heat, sparks and debris can escape and become a serious fire hazard.
There are very few guarantees in life, but one thing we can confidently guarantee is that water is always going to try to get into your chimney system. There's just no getting around the fact that water's will find any small point of weakness and take advantage of it. And weather is weather - some years may bring more rain, sleet and snow than others, but precipitation will always be there in some form or another, battling your chimneys defenses.
Water is the most common destroyer of chimneys - if your system has even the tiniest weakness, water will find it and quickly begin to deteriorate the system, rusting dampers, eroding mortar joints and slowly destroying flue liners. Any steps you can take to protect a chimney system against water should be taken, because prevention is much more cost-effective than repair.

Young's chimney and dryer gave us five star service! Austin was professional, prompt, and informative. We are very blessed to not have had our house burnt down by a fire. We will definitely be having them come, probably every 9 months because we do have a lot of fur babies! You will not be disappointed with this company :-)
