Regina High School
Regina High School began as a dream of the late Cardinal Mooney of Detroit. Over the past 60 years, Regina High School's mission has been to educate the whole girl - mind, body, and soul - for life's future challenges. As a single-gender school, we create a safe and comfortable learning environment that empowers young women to take on leadership roles and excel in our rigorous curriculum.

The school was received positively throughout the community. Bishop Earl Boyea presided over the consecration of the new Chapel where he spoke eloquently on the value of Catholic education in the Archdiocese, affirming a letter the school received from Cardinal Adam Maida who called Regina High School "a very important part of the Archdiocese."
Services
Regina High School is a Catholic college preparatory school in the Franciscan tradition of peace, service, and respect for the unique dignity of each person. Regina is committed to academic excellence, nurturing and guidance, and the moral, intellectual, physical, and personal growth of young women who face the challenges of today's world.
Over the past 60+ years, many traditions have developed that are uniquely 'Regina.' In addition to dances, field trips, dramatic productions, and other events, students eagerly anticipate special activities at each grade level. The entire school body and faculty formally welcome all new freshmen and transfer students to the Regina High School family!
You won't want to miss out on this opportunity to tour the school, meet the staff and students, and discover why so many families have chosen Regina for their daughters. Attendees of this event will have the chance to win a $1,000 tuition voucher or a free Regina Chromebook. For any 8th-grade girl who attends Open House, Regina will cover the cost of her High School Placement Test - that's a $50 savings!

Research cites many factors for the positive influence of single-gender schools on young women. After all, life beyond high school certainly is co-ed. Undoubtedly, young women in our society will be faced with future college, post-graduate, and career experiences that are indeed co-ed, and for this very reason, there is an enormous value to be found in an all-girl secondary education.

After feeling dissatisfied with my experience at a local public high school, I transferred to Regina. As a new student, I was worried about not fitting in, however everyone is so welcoming and I made so many lifelong friendships within my first week of school! My only regret about Regina is that I did not transfer earlier! There is simply nothing like it; There is great emphasis on sisterhood and tradition. Students are so positive and encouraging, which creates a fun but competitive learning environment. Although the school is smaller, this is only an advantage because you really get to know everyone

I had a terrific educational experience at Regina. The writing skills I learned there took me through college, med school, and my PhD dissertation.
For some reason, when I chose to graduate early in January 1995, I wasn't permitted to go to my senior prom, graduation, or honors convocation.

I love attending Regina because of the strong sisterhood present. The lunches are outstanding, and the kitchen staff is wonderful. I play three sports for Regina, and I enjoy playing with teammates that show great sportsmanship throughout the entire season. In addition, the class selection at Regina for honors and ap students is marvelous.

I have experienced nothing but the best while attending Regina High School! At this school, I have been able to grow close with so many different people, and I have been academically challenged in order to help prepare myself for college in just a few years.

Wonderful High School! Set a strong foundation for my college education and academic achievements. I never realized just how lucky I was to attend Regina (back in the days when it was still located in Harper Woods) until I looked back on my personal accomplishments forty and now 50 years later.
Spiritual enhancement of moral values, loving friendships enjoyed to this day, and the desire for intellectual achievements were nourished and nurtured though my years at Regina High School. I'm looking forward to soon visiting, and celebrating the 50th Reunion with my former classmates.
