Blue Ridge Chiropractic & Acupuncture
We understand what it's like to have pain that keeps you from doing all the things that you love and enjoy doing in life. Both Dr. PJ and Dr. Tina have experienced spinal trauma as a result of a car accidents. The thing that gave us our lives back was chiropractic care. We met in chiropractic school and quickly realized that we would be able to help others because of our shared experiences.

To further improve his patients' results, Dr. PJ became certified in classical and modern acupuncture. Dr. Tina realized great improvements in her health as a result of proper nutrition, which inspires her to continually study all aspects of functional nutrition. We have found that by combining chiropractic, acupuncture, and nutrition, we are able to offer our patients a well-rounded approach to healthcare.
Services
Doctors PJ and Tina VanDerHurst established Blue Ridge Chiropractic & Acupuncture in 2000 to give patients a better approach to healthcare. Their practice is filled with individuals and families looking to live their best in the most natural ways possible. By utilizing chiropractic, acupuncture, and functional nutrition, Drs.
Chiropractic is a form of healthcare concentrating on the location and removal of a severe form of spine and nerve stress, the vertebral subluxation complex. Left uncorrected, the subluxation puts pressure on nerves, unbalances your body, lowers your resistance to disease, and weakens you. Chiropractic is non-invasive and uses hands-on spinal adjustment techniques to remove these subluxations.
Acupuncture is a 5,000 year old system of natural healing, which is focused on restoring proper energy flow to the various organs, glands, and tissues of the body on the premise that most diseases are the result of malfunction due to disrupted energies. The interruption of energy flow can happen in the channels of energy flow, called meridians, which are located just beneath the skin's surface.
Thomas Edison once said, "The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will instruct his patient in the care of the human frame, in diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease." Nutrition is a vital component to health. By eating nutrient dense foods, we provide our bodies with the support it needs to heal and function at its best.
How difficult will it be to take care of yourself and loved ones if your condition worsens? What special family events will you miss out on or just not enjoy completely because your health isn't at its best? You may not realize it, but a lot of people are counting on you to take care of yourself. You and your family are worth the investment you make in yourself.

My only regret is that we didn't start seeing a chiropractor sooner. The office staff and drs are fantastic here. The office is clean, professional, super organized and very welcoming. My 8 year old loves getting to visit. Love being able to be adjusted and receive acupuncture. Now if I could only convince them to leave me on the traction table a little longer, lol.

Very nice people, although it feels like the "McDonald's" of the chiropractic world.. very quick to get you in & out! At least you aren't sitting here waiting past your appointment time.
I spent thousands of dollars, & months going here, without any real improvement in my back pain unfortunately, or I'd rank them higher.
