Speaking Life was established in July of 2007 by an experienced therapeutic services professional. The company is founded on the belief that the enrichment and enhancement of the client's life is first and foremost. We are committed to impacting our community as demonstrated by the exemplary service we provide and the obligation we feel to give back to the students and school organizations.
We offer expert speech, occupational, and physical therapy services in both public and private academic settings and social organizations, working with children and adolescents who need to develop either physical, motor, or language skills. We have professional speech therapists and clinicians who are well-qualified to address speech-language deficits, disorders and delays.
Speech-language pathologists, also called SLPs, are experts in communication. SLPs work with people of all ages, from babies to adults. SLPs treat many types of communication and swallowing problems. Speech sounds-how we say sounds and put sounds together into words. Other words for these problems are articulation or phonological disorders, apraxia of speech, or dysarthria.

Speaking Life Healthcare offered workshops on speech and language development for a program for expectant mothers that I coordinate. Daphne MacDonald, Founder of Speaking Life, is a gifted and enthusiastic facilitator. She led these workshops in a way that completely engaged mothers and allowed them to walk away with fresh knowledge around language acquisition. She also encouraged the mothers to view themselves as their child's first parent and gave practical suggestions for what that can look like. I can only imagine what dynamic speech therapy services are offered to individuals under her leadership

Speaking Life Healthcare has provided speech/language therapy for Vision Preparatory Charter School scholars since 2015. As the school principal, it is my responsibility to ensure high-quality speech/language services and to make provider decisions based on scholars' progress. Parents and teachers regularly comment on how effective and professional SLH providers are in their interactions. Paperwork is consistently compliant. I've been in education/special education since 2002. I've never seen the speech articulation growth in scholars as much as I have with SLH. Look them up! Ask for Daphne!

Speaking Life has helped our school meet the needs of the youth that are diagnosed with Speech or Language Impairments. We are a residential treatment facility that has an In-House School. Being able to contract with them has given us the ability to meet our students' needs at a reasonable cost with excellent service!

Speaking Life Healthcare has done tremendous work for the Scholars and parents at our school. Our Scholars end each school year as better communicators and more confident as they speak in front of an audience. For the past two years, Ms, McDonald has also facilitated successful parent workshops. These workshops have provided strategies and resources so that parents can support their child in improving their communication skills.

Over this past school year, I can honestly say I have truly enjoyed my school partnering with Speaking Life!!! This is the first time while working in a school setting where I've felt that related service providers are apart of the team, responsible, great think partners, great therapy providers and know how to communicate the way that our parents understand. I’m a Special Education lead teacher & I’ve worked with Speaking Life Healthcare service providers for the past 3 years at a local charter school. The level of speech/language related services provided to scholars is absolutely with highest level of professionalism. The team of staff & program supervisor goes above the call of duty to ensure equitable treatment to all scholars and parents. In addition, they work very well with teachers and administrators and in meeting the demands & timing of IEP meetings for scholars.
