A good lawyer is a good listener. Attorney Jeanne DeJong's approach to the practice of law is to listen carefully to the client, assess his or her personal situation, listen to their goals, and work closely to implement a plan to achieve those goals. Choosing an attorney to help you protect your family and everything you've worked hard for can be a tough decision.

You need an attorney with an understanding of the law who listens. Jeanne DeJong provides an array of legal services from simple wills to more complex estate planning, probate, trust administration and litigation, business formation and management, and real property law. Ultimately, every legal problem is an interpersonal problem which can best be solved with a full understanding of what motivates the people involved.
Services
We were in need of a local attorney to create the will, advanced directives and trust documents for an older relative living in the area. We are from the east coast and just took a flying computer-generated chance with Ms. DeJong and we could not be happier. She is personable, patient, extremely knowledgeable and thorough.
Every good estate plan is the expression of personal choices that incorporates smart tax planning, a strategy for future health care and financial needs, and is one that provides for ease of management. Most importantly, it brings you peace of mind. I am an experienced estate planning attorney.

Let me help you create a plan specifically tailored to you and your family; one that provides you with the security of knowing that your assets will be used to meet your needs and your family's needs when you are no longer present.
The law is about Reason, but families are about Emotion. When a loved one passes away, his or her estate may go through a court-managed process called probate or estate administration. If your loved one held his or her property in a properly funded living trust, the successor trustee is responsible for administrating the trust according to its terms.
Whether you are a homeowner seeking assistance with a new home purchase, or the seller or buyer of a commercial property, you deserve experienced legal counsel to guide through the transaction quickly and successfully. I can work with your real estate broker to make sure that any transaction does exactly what you want it to do.
Creating and running your own business is one of the most exciting and challenging undertakings you can experience. Decisions made early on will determine personal liabilities, tax consequences, benefits and operating structure. I can explain the options available to you and discuss the drawbacks and benefits of each type of business entity.

Jeanne represented my wife and I with an estate and probate issue. She knew what to do and it worked out well for us. She helped us organize our efforts and filter out our relevant documents. It was nice working with her.

Jeanne represented my husband and I in a very complicated family matter. The first time I met with her, she made me feel comfortable; listening attentively as I explained the circumstances surrounding our unusual and complex case; she was patient and understanding.
Jeanne always made time to answer any questions I might have, and met with me if I needed. She never made me feel rushed or like I was taking up too much of her time. She was consistent in keeping me updated on new developments and progress of our case; she always promptly returned my calls and replied to emails. She is knowledgeable

Jeanne has been completely disorganized and unprofessional while representing my fathers estate with a family member. I would call with questions about items that were appraised, who the realtor was and a request for documents stating what has taken place. She never had any answers and always said she would email me things. I never received anything besides two documents. One that she was representing the estate and the other requesting to be removed. After receiving her notice by mail of her removal, I called with questions. Her assistant asked for my name and then told me she was busy and would
