About Michael R. Goodlander and the care provided by him and his staff and his bio printed for a program at The Chapel at CrossPoint. These words are why Michael chose funeral service at a young age; to be your guide along your grief journey and is there to listen, understand, and care for you and your family with the upmost tenderness and compassion through the entire healing process.
In 1932, Mr. Otto Redanz, Sr. founded the business. Later his son, Otto Redanz, Jr. took over daily operations. The Otto Redanz Funeral Home will remain locally family owned and operated as originally established by Otto Redanz in 1932. Our location sits at 2215 Military Road, in the Town of Niagara, centrally located to the city of Niagara Falls and surrounding suburbs.
Whether you are pre-planning for yourself or choosing for a loved one, a casket selection is a very personal decision and an expression of your feelings. A casket that reflects the personality and taste of your loved one can be your final tribute to their life. We understand these needs and offer a wide variety of caskets that can help make your selection truly personal.
When it comes to your final arrangements, shouldn't you make the decisions? The arrangements you make will reflect your exact wishes and desires. Pre-arranging your own service will help to ease the burden of your loved ones. It will also alleviate any questions, problems or differences, which can occur among family members.
The basic Military Funeral Honors (MFH) ceremony consists of the folding and presentation of the United States flag to the veterans' family and the playing of Taps. The ceremony is performed by a funeral honors detail consisting of at least two members of the Armed Forces. The Funeral Honors rendered to you or your veteran will be determined by the status of the veteran.

I can't say enough about Otto Redanz funeral home. Mike and Laura Goodlander were very helpful and compassionate. They made a difficult time much easier to deal with. They did an amazing job on mom. They were always available to answer questions and help us with any concerns. I highly recommend Otto Redanz.

Losing my mother has been the hardest thing I have ever had to deal with. Laura, Mike and the staff made this transitioning process go so smoothly. They had no problem in helping with decisions to be made that are so hard to make while trying to grieve. Not knowing whats right or wrong, Lauras honest opinions helped me make these decisions that I will be ever grateful for. I appreciate every single thing they have done for my family. The staff at Otto Redanz was very help in establishing a pre-need contract this March. little did we know it would be needed by August. Laura showed tremendous professionalism and was a great guide through this process. When the time came the process was remarkably easy and very caring. Laura and Michael worked very hard to make the process smooth with no surprises. I cannot say enough about the ease of this difficult process they made easy . They are at the top of their industry

The funeral home owners met my needs before I even knew what they were. They were kind, caring, empathetic, available 24/7, respectful and professional. The grounds and interior of the home were beautiful. Everything was taken care of in a timely manner. They even kept in touch during the weeks that followed. My husband recently passed away and our family chose Otto Redanz as the funeral home to have the wake and memorial service. We were extremely satisfied with the care and compassion showed to us. Mike and Laura were such a God send to us when our Mother passed away in 2016 and just recently when my Father passed. When we met with Mike he showed us so much compassion and made my Sister and I feel confident that Mike would take great care of our Father. From beginning to end Mike did not let us down. He is a true professional and a wonderful person who truly cares about the family and what they are going through. Laura ranks right up there with Mike.
