Your shoulder is made up of three bones: your upper arm bone (humerus), your shoulder blade (scapula), and your collarbone (clavicle). The head, or ball, of your upper arm bone fits into a shallow socket in your shoulder blade. This socket is called the glenoid. Strong connective tissue, called the shoulder capsule, is the ligament system of the shoulder and keeps the head of the upper arm bone centered in the glenoid socket.
Your knee is the largest joint in your body and one of the most complex. The bones that make up the knee include the lower end of the femur (thighbone), the upper end of the tibia (shinbone), and the patella (kneecap). Other important structures that make up the knee joint include articular cartilage, synovium, meniscus, and ligaments.

I'm 69 years old and in 2019 I had two complete shoulder replacements by Dr. Woodson. The right shoulder was replaced on February 14th and the left three months later on May 30th.
Let me start by complimenting the staff. Without exception, they're exceptional. The entire staff is efficient, happy, and joyful. And, if I needed to leave a message, I always got a call back in a timely manner.
Dr. Woodson was fantastic, and I might add a perfectionist, with a no no-nonsense approach to solutions. He's never too busy to answer ALL your questions. I was blessed to have him as my surgeon.

I reinjured my left shoulder on July 4th. It became excruciating pain on the 7th and I went to the ER. They said that I had a calcified tendon, gave me meds, referred me to an ortho doctor. I went back to the ER 3 days later, was given MORE opioids and sent home IN excruciating pain annnd without the meds working. I tried Several orthopedic doctors and they were all too busy to see me. Then on July 16th, I saw Dr Woodson. The staff was very compassionate, kind, helpful and accommodating. I wish that I had got the medical receptionist's name. She was awesome. The Auburn haired lady was so kind,

Let four messages over two (2) weeks with no return call. When I did talk to someone I was told they would call back by end of the day. Never happened. Waiting for the last two weeks for a date for surgery. Today I was told it might be at the end of October. They will not know for another two to three weeks.

2 stars for lady that takes copay very rude and loud isn't it against HIPPAA to hear other patients personal questions and answer ? Is it to much to ask that pts be pulled aside to discuss these issues privately not

I developed a constant pain in my low back over several months and after an x-ray my MD suggested I wait and see if it goes away and didn't want to do an MRI.
I felt I needed more than that and with the recommendation of a friend I went to see Dr Verma. He's attentive and looks at you when you respond to a question, he asked many questions trying to determine my individual situation as opposed to "patient has pain in low back: see page 23 paragraph 6 of orthopedic handbook for solution". He assured me that surgery was the last option, not the first. He suggested an MRI for a more definite diagnosis
