The Santa Maria Style BBQ has evolved over the years to be one of the most tantalizing menus in California. When driving down the main streets of Santa Maria you can't help but smell the appetizing aroma emitting from nearly every street corner in town. Traditionally, our signature main dishes are prepared on-site at your event beginning with an aromatic hardwood fire.
As the fire reaches its peak, fresh salsa vegetables are placed on the grill to initiate the fire-roasted salsa recipe. When the coals are ready, specially seasoned meats are positioned for a 2-3 hour cook time.

Services
Whole boneless pork loin rubbed with our bold seasoning, slow cooked whole then sliced for serving. Succulent PTL rubbed with our handcrafted blend of seasonings, grilled whole over our wood fire. Green beans tossed in a lightly seasoned butter with bacon then topped off with house toasted almond slivers.
Left Coast Open Pit is the term we use to describe our unique style of barbecue that originated in Santa Maria, California. The product we proudly provide is like no other. Premium boneless meats dry rubbed and cooked on-site over a hardwood fire paired with sides that are 100% handcrafted from scratch for each and every event.

Q It Up is awesome!!! They provided the food for my daughter’s wedding and our guests raved about the flavor. It was great fun having the food cooked on site – the smells were amazing. Bryan was fantastic to work with during the planning stages and he was very quick to answer our questions. He is also flexible in what they can do and truly wants to make sure that the customer receives exactly what they want. I would highly recommend Q It Up!!

Q it Up was our caterer for our wedding in October and they were so amazing! From letting us come to a tasting (multiple times), to even giving my husband a bite of tri-tip just before we made our "grand entrance", they were amazing to work with! And of course, the food is DELICIOUS! It was such a unique take on wedding food, and the service was outstanding during our reception. If you want mouthwatering food that you can smell during your ceremony (I think people were actually drooling) then book Q it Up!

Q It Up Catering did a wedding that I attended recently and it was my first experience with them. Let's just say the food was awesome! They served beef tips, chicken thighs, green beans, Mac salad, cole slaw, chips and salsa. Everything was delicious and the cooking/serving staff were friendly and helpful. They were quick and efficient, bagged up all the leftovers and had their stuff packed up and gone in a very short time. Would highly recommend them for any event!

My wife, daughter and I went here to taste food for our wedding, the staff was all very welcoming and Bryan (the owner) was very friendly and helpful. This was just a tasting and we still ate until we were full. The food was delicious and I would definitely recommend the beef tri-tip sirloin, boneless chicken thighs, bbq beans, sweet bacon bowtie pasta salad and the sweet pea pasta salad!
Update: We had Q It Up cater our wedding reception they did a phenomenal job. Food was delicious and hot at the exact time we were ready to eat. Our food selection was Beef Tri-tip Sirloin, Boneless Chicken Thighs

Used Q' It Up for our wedding on 6/12/21 and it went perfectly! Everyone loved the food, the staff was nice, and we had more than enough food for everyone. My only wish is that I would've chosen more sides because their food was so good (we only went with 2 sides, I should've done 3). Working with them was very easy too. Highly recommend!
