So, think of your headshot as your virtual self: the first thing a client or colleague sees on your bio or social media profile; it's even on every instant message you send. BUT - you keep putting it off, and would rather dangle over a frozen lake in your PJ's than get an updated headshot. I understand, I really do.
Standard retouching on headshots includes improving skin texture, removing blemishes, under-eye darkness and fine wrinkles and lines. We tone down any excessive redness in skin tones, brighten your smile and your eyes. For men, shaven (as appropriate). For women, with hair/makeup already done.
During the headshot session, we will periodically review images with you in case we need to adjust posing, lighting or so we can identify what is or is not working.We can take as many breaks as we need to make sure you are comfortable, relaxed, and have your appearance exactly the way you want it. Our goal is that your new headshots will be exactly what you want.

Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia host a huge variety of events. Honestly, I can't think of a type or size event I've not photographed. Our client list includes government entities, fortune 500 companies as well as individuals and non-profits. Larger events like conferences, galas, etc. of all sizes, styles, atmospheres, and purposes.

Karen did a great job and was super nice! She was really patient (I told her I was kind of shy, not very good in front of the camera) and she helped me feel really relaxed.
The service was really fast: I got the photos the next morning already retouched! Excellent quality and really professional photographer!

Karen is fabulous. She shot and edited a promotional video for me and did a wonderful job. Karen was professional, she wrote the scripts, the video was great quality and the editing was very clever. I highly recommend her. You won't regret it. I will definitely be using her again.

My session with Karen was fantastic. Karen welcomed me and made me feel comfortable from the moment we met. She asks about your interest and this translates into a relaxed environment as she takes your pictures. At the end of the session, Karen works with you to select the best pictures and does it without any pressure. I have been spreading the word to my friends to use Eikon Photography. We hired Karen Sayre of Eikon Photography to photograph our wedding and to photograph 3 separate sessions of our new born baby. The three sessions were new born photographs, 6 month old photographs, and maternity photographs during pregnancy.
The overall experience was awful. Starting with the wedding event, Karen was late. When we recieved the photos, they were not edited at all. The next series of events were even worse, the maternity photographs and new born photographs were LOST. We did not find this out until months after the fact and Karen was only willing to offer more photo sessions free
