Dr. Stephen Eric Metzinger is a triple board-certified plastic surgeon who performs cosmetic plastic surgery and teaches plastic surgery. Our cosmetic plastic surgery practice, servicing the Greater New Orleans, Metairie, Northshore, Louisiana area provides patients desiring facial, breast, and body contouring with the most advanced, state-of-the-art procedures for rejuvenation and enhancement.
Having a profound interest in plastic surgery, Dr. Metzinger chose his training to emphasize this area. He obtained his undergraduate degree at Tulane University, and received a Master's of Science in Public Health from the Tulane University School of Public Health & Tropical Medicine. He then completed four years of study at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine, New Orleans.

Had surgery with Dr Metzinger on 11/23/21. I have never had a surgical experience even come close to this one. From his front office staff, to the nurses, to the surgery coordinator and the doctor himself, everyone went out of their way to be kind, professional, and helpful every step of the way. Dr Metzinger and his staff were very knowledgeable every step of the way and kept me very informed about the process. During the initial appointment, I knew this was the surgeon that I trusted with my procedure. During the second appt, we sat at a desk and Dr Metzinger went over instructions word for word

Absolutely the best! Since the moment I called the first time to make my appointment they were super nice to me, my experience at the clinic has been the best! Doctor Metzinger took time to know and ask me questions about what I was looking for and I just knew it was the right place. He is amazing and I’m so pleased with my results. Dr. Metzinger performed a breast augmentation on me and I am so happy with the results. He helped me pick the size that was more tailored for my body frame. I’m in love with the new me!!! My journey to weight loss began with an umbilical hernia about 4 years ago. I had a mesh, a mesh that caused a lot of damage to my abdominal wall and it was very painful.
I also have had some breast issues and I can tell you without a doubt I have loved my surgeon and his team.
I am thankful for them, for his support & work of art.
I would not would not be where I am without them.
My surgeon is fantastic and his team is fantastic and I want to thank them for getting me  to where I am today.
This isn’t just about surgery, this takes discipline, dedication, exercise and sometimes tears

Dr. Metzinger and his whole office are top notch! He is an amazing surgeon and his skills can be likened to one of the best Renaissance sculptors. His meticulous care of the details of anatomy, perspective, and proportion is evident. And, all of that comes along with a seamless and caring experience from start to finish.

He and his staff are at the top of their profession in my opinion. We spoke to several doctors before we met with Dr. Metzinger. But once we met, both my wife and I knew we didn’t need to look any further. We love the fact that he is honest, to the point, but yet listened to all of my wife’s concerns and answered all of our questions. My wife is over the moon pleased with her results and will be back for more!

Dr. Metzinger is a true miracle-worker! His work is very natural, and he truly listens to his patients and then works to achieve his/her personal goals. I couldn't be happier with the work he has done; the recovery was seamless and he delivered exactly what I expressed I wanted.

I was very skeptical about having a breast augmentation done. My friend Kimberly works for Dr. Metzinger and thoroughly recommended him with very high claims. From my first visit and consultation to this day I am more than pleased with Dr. Metzinger, his work, and his staff. My surgery went great; no complications. Followed his healing instructions to a T and it came out wonderful. No visible scars and they are beautiful. The service is superb. I recommend him to anyone who asks!

I've been a patient for over a year now. In this time I've come to know everyone in this office.
Dr. M is amazing. He performed a surgery on me that other doctors had turned down due to the possible nerve damage to the face. Yes it was delicate but I couldn't be happier with the results. No nerve damage!!!
His surgical assistant, Rhonda was my lifeline during my recuperation. She called daily for the first couple of weeks and made certain I was taken care of. Love her.
