I recently went on a group trip to Marrakesh, Morocco planned and organized by Kathryn and Gerken Getaways. Kathryn worked hard to plan an exciting and interesting trip to accommodate a group of 16 diverse women! Our excursions --which included a fantastic cooking class, hike in the Atlas Mountains, a trip to the Old Medina and other historical and cultural sightseeing -- were all well planned and thought out.

Kathryn planned our family trip to Scotland and did an excellent job from helping us with our planning, to arranging all the details and logistics. She spent a great deal of time understanding what our goals and hopes were for the trip, provided excellent suggestions based on her extensive knowledge of the country , and created a trip that met and exceeded what we hoped to experience. I hired Gerken Getaways to plan our family trip to Thailand for 2.5 weeks and was thrilled with the results. She listened to what our needs and wants for the trip were, took care of every last detail down to transportation, hotel, excursions, and sight seeing. Kathryn Gerken of Gerken Getaways is a phenomenal travel agent. Having done a fair amount of travel, and having worked with several travel agents, I can definitely say she is the most thorough, detail oriented agent I have worked with. She is currently helping us plan an extended 18 day Europe trip. This includes a river cruise, land tour, and train transportation. These are a lot of details to manage, and she has done an impeccable job facilitating all of this. I'm definitely a fan! Kathryn was highly responsive when I asked for some weekend getaway ideas, and I loved that she did all of the legwork for me. I got an email with getaway locations, sample hotels, information on how to get there, and links to check them out quickly and efficiently. Within a day of asking for help, I had my entire weekend booked. I actually booked the hotel myself, not realizing that Kathryn would have done that for me. Oops! Either way, the place where I stayed was beautiful and just what I "ordered." Thank you!
