Irie Jamaican Kitchen was founded by our family who have always enjoyed our amazing Jamaican cuisine together. This love led us to open this Jamaican Food Truck, a place where people from all over Eugene and surrounding cities can meet to enjoy our special dishes. We are creating diversity in our community by introducing the Jamaican culture thru the lens of food.
Thanks to our experience, knowledge of the Jamaican culture and dedication, we've managed to provide dishes that are authentic, fresh, hearty and simply unforgettable.

I was at the holiday market today and tried these guys out. I tried the braised ox tail. I have never eaten ox tail in my life. All i have to say is holy moly it was good. Can't believe i decided to wait my whole life to try this. The rice and beans were moist and delicious. The cabbage was cooked perfectly ohhhh and that ox tail, wow! Tender fall off the bone!! Yum perfectly seasoned such an experience! These guys make some really good food. I will be headed to the food cart around town to have that again. Love to eat food that makes you feel happy!!

My experience with Jamaican food is limited, but most that I have had focus entirely on the char and making it spicier and spicier. This is good at times, but these folks focus on flavor. The spice is there. That lovely chat is there. But nothing overtook anything else. The rice and beans complimented the cabbage and everything worked well with the Yellow Chicken. I will not hesitate to return here every Saturday. Above and beyond all expectations.

This cart has really unique and delicious Caribbean food. It comes out fast, is well prepared, consistent, and has powerful flavors. We had them do a pre boxed, individual meal, covid safe work function and everyone raved about the food. I also have found them at the veneta outdoor market and the parking lot beside the mini pet mart on West 11th. The chicken curry is a personal favorite of mine. You seriously need to try this place if you haven't yet.

I've never had Jamaican food before and all I have is just one word...plantains! Ok, maybe three...plantains, sorrel, and brown stew tofu! Oh wait, that's six words...anyways, I have many nice words to say about this small family owned food cart currently located at 8th & Oak.
I've been wanted to try Irie for a while now, but as a vegetarian the meal options for me were limited. That is until this week when they added Brown Stew Tofu to their menu. I saw that and I immediately hopped into my car to finally order some takeout.
The sweet ripe plantains may be the most heavenly

Friendly service and great food.
After reading the reviews, specifically the ones that critiqued value or food portion size I was surprised to see how much food they gave for a $9.50 meal. I'm not sure what kind of person would not before from two pieces of chicken two scoops of rice and a scoop of cabbage, but my husband was full and I had leftovers.
Will definitely go back. Thanks for the great tasing meal.

This is a new food cart. Food is amazing. Portions size good. Flavors are bursting and hot. Don"t fear the heat! My favorite was the meat pie. Interesting breading, meat filling spicy and mellow at the same time. Grilled corn on the cob is always a hit with me. I will be eating here again. Well done Irie
