Jaron Horrocks is a geek at heart, but he's a fun, efficient, highly organized geek, and we like him for it. Hailing from New Hampshire, Jaron is a designer turned photographer, and currently owns and operates Saans Photography Studio. He really loves teaching and has toured the country several times over conducting seminars and instructing other photographers.
Even though he may spend a slightly unhealthy amount of time in front of his computer, Jaron loves getting out, exploring, playing sports (he's ridiculously good at soccer), and cycling around town. Overall, we'd say that Jaron just enjoys living life. Angelina Giles is from the beautiful Aotearoa (New Zealand): land of the long white cloud, rugby, flight of the concords and yes, Lord of the Rings!

To our lifestyle portrait clients, your story is one that deserves to be told; not in words, but in images. Saans will capture you and your loved ones in a unique and fun way. Whether in the studio or on location, you will not be disappointed. For commercial and corporate clients we offer the same professional artistic direction, state of the art equipment and expertise.
Each month we feature different photographic artists from the local community as well as worldwide. The exhibit revolves around the Salt Lake City Gallery Stroll, which takes place on the third Friday of each month. Many galleries are involved, and it is great way to spend an evening appreciating a variety of talent.
We normally meet at our studio first. This is a great place to take a few images, plan the outfits and keep all of your belongings together in a safe place. Within a mile of our downtown location, you have the choice of urban style, park and nature shots, and a whole array of other venues. Have a think about what appeals to you and let us know.
Pick your colors based on where the images will be displayed. For some people, this doesn't make a difference. But for others, if they plan to hang the prints in a room with a dominant color, then your clothing should compliment rather than clash. Individual skin tones and hair color also should be considered.
My mom absolutely loved the pictures. She was in tears when we showed them to her, and she watched the animoto thing about four times in a row. I keep nagging her about choosing proofs, but she hasn't sat down to choose them! I will work on that. Thanks so much for the email, and again, I can't begin to tell you how much she loved it.

I cannot say enough great things about Saans Photography! Amazong work!! Images are so crisp and unreal. Jaron is the most talented photographer I've worked with. We've had the privilege of hiring him to come on location to take headshots of my company's management as well lifestyle pictures at our employee Christmas party's. He's also traveled to Lake Powell to take photos at our anniversary celebration. He's very friendly, personable, knowledgeable and puts you at ease while taking photos. Jaron is an incredibly talented photographer. I've done several photo shoots over the years, and found my experience with Saans Photography to be the best ever. I felt totally at ease with Jaron during the photo shoot. I also liked that I could look at all the photos as soon as we were done, and pick out the best ones for touch up work. I met Jaron through a friend on Facebook. I had always wanted to do a first birthday cake photo shoot and I saw that she offered a package. I was so glad we did it and so pleased with the work! The photos are adorable and she made it very easy. Jaron picked up the cake, sent very clear instructions, had everything set up in her home studio and even had a bath set up for clean up afterwards. Saans is a perfect photography studio. It’s an ultra creative space in a very convenient location. All types of backdrops and photography lighting to help you capture the perfect image. The owner was super attentive and helpful from start to finish. He helped me adjust my camera settings to work well with his flash. I really recommend this space to anyone looking to use a professional studio in a great environment.

Jaron came to our building to do professional head-shots for 12 of our corporate employees. He was very patient and had amazing tips to help us look our best. He was great to work with, professional, and obviously very talented. I would highly recommend him for anyone looking to get head-shots or any type of professional photography done.
