A group of us went there today to celebrate my retirement. The food, which an appetizer of salsas, sauce and guacamole with hot fresh tortilla chips. And the main entrees were all fabulous!! Steak, chicken… tacos, green chili chicken pasta and omg, churros with chocolate ganache. The staff were so friendly and so accommodating. This place is a hidden gem. You need to try it.

We had the Chinese BBQ duck quesadilla (an appetizer, $8) and the Mesquite steak taco plate (entree. $12). The latter was very good and good quantity. The former barely had duck - about 4 small slices. See the photos. An added bonus is that they had their monthly art exhibit- interesting art and some very good hors d'oeuvres.. Cost was $20 plus tip.

I ordered the chipotle tomato bisque which was really good. Side of homemade bread that was amazing. My fiancé ordered the Dagwood sandwich but they accidentally brought us the daily special sandwich. We didn’t say anything because he was still really pleased with the sandwich. You can tell the food is fresh and made to order.

This was a very good experience for myself and the patio which was beautiful and the food was very excellent I had the chili rellenos with mushrooms and my daughter had the chorizo burger thre plates were full of flavor and beyond fresh. The service was excellent and it’s nice to have a New Mexico restaurant with a little We’ll definitely be backflair.

Lunch at La Fonda del Bosque was excellent! Great service, fabulous space and Stefani's food is, to no surprise, incredible. We had the mushroom chile relleno, which was delicious on it's own but served with the most amazing corn I've ever tasted, and the red chile mac and cheese served with pork belly, YUM! Most importantly the fresh made churros with hot chocolate dipping sauce...TO.DIE. FOR.

Excellent food, excellent service, excellent value: love at first sight!
After visiting the pinata exhibit at the National Hispanic Cultural Center, my mom and a visitor from Germany decided to give La Fonda a try. The beautiful dining room was flooded with sunlight. My mom was in a wheelchair, and the waiter and manager (JJ) couldn't have been more gracious or accommodating. We sat in a comfortable, roomy booth and ordered the best lunch we've had in years of dining out in Albuquerque. My boyfriend and I ordered the exquisite Belizan Chicken, a luscious "achiote marinated chicken breast and thigh
