Naruto
From the family who introduced the first Japanese restaurant, Shohko Cafe, to New Mexico 40 years ago, we proudly present Naruto. Naruto serves authentic Hakata-style ramen. Hakata ramen has characteristics of soup made from select pork bones, eggless thin noodles and chashu made in house. We also serve miso and Shoyu ramen made with special soy sauce and miso imported direct from Japan.

Chicken Broth with Japanese Curry Spices Topped with a Beef Brisket, Red Bell Peppesr, Pickled Daikon, and a Seasoned Egg.

It had been several weeks since we had Asian food. The decision was made that we would get some ramen in Albuquerque. It was either O Ramen or Naruto. Both are located on the same street two doors down from each other. I tried calling both for take out, but, neither of them wanted to answer. So, I drove there instead. We choose Naruto because of the reviews and because my daughter likes the Naruto Manga series. I went inside to place my order my order for takeout. Ordering was easy. The food was ready in about 20 minutes. The ramen came with chashu, fish cake, seasoned egg and bamboo

Black tonkotsu ramen was great! The broth had a wonderful flavor. Well done in that regard. Gyoza and edamame were great too. I wasn’t aware that the ramen only came with one piece of chashu. Every ramen shop I’ve been to serves at least 2, mostly 3. The ramen was priced reasonable enough that ordering another piece wouldn’t be unreasonable, but it’s nice to know ahead of time. We sat in the back of the restaurant and it was very cold so bundle up if you go in the winter

Quantity!!! Japan serves almost twice as much noodles. Additionally, offer fresh minced garlic and "s&b ichimi togarashi" with the ramen.
That aside great ramen great noodles!!!

Worthy 5 stars out of my entire stay in NM. We came here craving a hot broth on a windy day, when we arrived there was a line but it moves relatively quickly. They specialize in tonkatsu and miso broth and ramen is reasonably priced. Recommend the black oil tonkatsu with hot chili paste, was very impressed!

DELICIOUS BROTH.

The meat was okay, the noodles were the slightest overcooked (but I'm just a super picky person when it comes to noodles) but the broth 100000x made up for it.

I ordered the black(?) super rich tonkotsu ramen with a side of the chili paste. The paste tastes a lot like gochujang, and enhance the flavor of the ramen by adding a kick.

Super small restaurant, accidentally went to the one a couple doors down and was about to order before I realize my mistake...

I would drink this broth for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and I'm super sad I live in Texas.

I visited the naruto location inside 505 central food hall. I was the only person waiting and the guy working there was just casually talking on the phone completely ignoring me. I awkwardly waited there for him to finish his phone conversation. After several minutes he hung up and stared at me. I asked some questions about the food menu and he was pretty rude about it so I just left.

If you haven’t been to 505 central, check it out! When I saw Naruto ramen, I had to have it! So flavorful and delicious. The Naruto ramen was $15 and I believe it was well worth it. Staff was quick and friendly. I will be back for more next time that I’m in New Mexico.

I went to this place last week. Customer service is really poor. We weren't a knowledge at first so we left upon walking around I said I will try again. We still weren't acknowledged for a while but we were hungry!
The food was ok. To be ramen, I expected more meat in my meal. I got half and egg, small crab cake and 2 mushrooms cut in a lot of pieces to make it look like there was more to it.
Unfortunately, later on I felt really sick and this was shortly after we left.
I don't recommend this place.
It seems like there are other ramen places nearby that might be better.

I hadn't had ramen in forever and didn't realize I was missing it until we ended up here before a show at Popejoy. I got the vegetable ramen and places typically like to toss celery into vegetable ramen. I am not a celery person, I end up picking celery out of ~everything. Much to my surprise and delight - no celery!! The staff was super friendly and attentive, our food came out really quick. The ramen noodles were just the right amount of tender, definitely not soggy and excellent flavor (and did I mention no celery?) with some veggies that were still a bit crispy as a wonderful contrast

Great atmosphere and food. It was very busy, but it was expected because of the name and popularity. Ramen is excellent - I ordered the black tonkotsu and naruto ramen. Ramen broth is rich with complex flavors and there is different noodles for each dish. I enjoyed the experience of sitting at the bar watching the chefs cook the dishes.

I have eaten in plenty of ramen locations, even a couple of shops in Tokyo Ramen Street. For the price and the taste, this location is really good. Not too salty and pretty flavorful so we were able to drink the entire soup of the ramen dish.
This photo attach are Naruto Raman (left), Black Tonkotsu (right), Kaiso salad (middle), and hot green tea (top). Total: $42.

Really good ramen. The family and I were passing through NM and stopped here to grab a bite. Be careful as there is another ramen place literally 3 or 3 doors down. Friendly staff and good food.

Could be better. I got my food to-go and didn’t have the best experience.
I got their ramen which was ok. The pork was good, but the noodles were clumped and didn’t separate at all with broth. That is not a good sign of fresh noodles. Then, the egg was not a nice soft/medium boiled egg. It was completely hard boiled.
The potstickers were really bad. They gave it in a styrofoam container, and the heat of the potstickers ate through the styrofoam and coated the potstickers in a carcinogenic mess. Inedible.
The pork fried rice wasn pretty good. That alone carried the weight of this review not

Amazing! I have a peanut allergy and they have no peanuts, which made me feel safe. I got the tonkotsu ramen which was delicious. They have a pretty good selection of sake as well. I would totally go back if I wasn't an "out of towner". The staff was friendly and open to helping me even with my allergy.

This place is cute looking. Service wasn't bad. The ramen just wasn't wow. It was lacking flavor for a $15 bowl of noodles. The microwavable ramen for 88 cents at Walmart is honestly better.
The only good thing here was the chile shrimp tempura. The ramen isn't as good as it looks.
2 star because the kitchen is filthy.

This place was awesome. They were accommodating & pushed a couple tables together for our party of five. My bf & I tried the chicken karaage, gyoza, kimchi fried rice & the naruto ramen. The kids had the yaki soba noodles & miso ramen. Everything was so delicious! I especially loved the kimchi fried rice. I thought it would be spicier but it wasn't so the kids could have some too.
I was sad to see the spicy tuna rice bowl is no longer on their menu. Service was quick & friendly. It's very tiny inside the restaurant. We were lucky to get in while we did because it

Great price for good ramen taste much better than some other places. The inside is small good for couples or small parties. Staff is friendly and fast to fill any requests. To go ramen is also just as good. Portions are a bit smaller but I recommend pairing your meal with some appetizers.

Stayed a night in Albuquerque and tried the Tonkatsu miso ramen with hot chili paste on the side and the vegetable yaki udon to go. Both were very good.

The broth was very flavorful and came with bamboo shoots, green onion, chashu, and soft egg. Noodles were well cooked. Will definitely make my way back.

Naruto (ナルト) - No, this is not the Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto. This is simply one of the best ramen I've tasted. Yes, I did not think it'll be in NM, located downtown Albuquerque. It was snowing so it was a perfect day for a hot delicious ramen. The restaurant is cute and definitely have a Japanese feel to it.

The ramen was served in a regular size bowl, but don't get fool by the size of it. It's loaded with ramen noodles along with other yummies. It was very deliciously enjoyable and I would say that this is now my most favorite

Decent ramen shop located across from the University. The service was prompt and friendly. The tonkotsu super rich was indeed very rich and creamy; I just wish it included karaage (black mushroom), as indicated on the menu. Apparently they don't include it anymore due to prior patrons with juvenile palates who asked for the ramen without. The nerve!

They also have a large selection of sake, which is cool.

If the selection of ramen restaurants in Albuquerque isn't as extensive as that in bigger metropolitan areas, then Naruto is a dependable go-to choice for authentic ramen. As far as I could tell, some of the wait staff spoke Japanese, and the ramen bowls themselves are indeed legit, down-home affairs.

The Naruto ramen special, which is basically a regular bowl of ramen with extra chashu, was quite a solid value at $13 (at least by inflated Bay Area pricing standards). Even in Japan, ramen is comfort food for many people and doesn't need the pretentious, gussied-up gourmet treatment that
