Aurora Rents is a fully stocked tool and equipment rental company in Seattle WA with a dedication to finely maintained equipment and information for all your construction or home project needs. Aurora Rents has been in operation on the corner of 175th and Aurora Avenue since 1962. Since that time Aurora Rents has seen many changes, including the opening of locations in Lake City and Greenlake.
Properly maintained equipment will help you make repairs before costly breakdowns occur. At Aurora Rents, we offer repair services on all construction equipment and tools which we sell. We are also an Authorized Repair Center for Honda Power Equipment and Stihl Equipment. We have Franzen automated chainsaw sharpeners to get that better-than-new edge on your Stihl chainsaw.
You can view each piece and prices within our Equipment and Tools Catalog and Party and Event Catalog. You should place your order as soon as possible, especially when requesting a delivery. Usually a weeks notice is required to get the specific delivery time you are looking for, but we can accommodate less time if your delivery window is flexible.

Rent a lot of work machines from them, they get the job done and take care of you. They upkeep the machines and fuel them up for you and you do not need to bring them back Full like you do u-haul trucks. They will grab them from the parking lot for you if you can't carry the heavy equipment. Great people working here

I have purchased several power tools at this location. The staff at this store are very professional and know their products. The maintenance crew are impressive as well. It's a great feeling knowing I purchased an expensive product knowing that if it breaks down, I can take it down the street for a quick repair.

Can't say enough good things about this place. The staff is friendly and super helpful. If you have any questions about what type of equipment you need they'll happily explain what is best and why. I thought I needed a skid steer for the work in my backyard, but after I told them the ground was full of roots they recommended a mini excavator instead. It was definitely the right choice given how many old roots we had to pull out.
I will be back the next time I need to rent some equipment!

Throwing an event is difficult during Covid, even when you take all the necessary precautions. After having so many last minute changes to plans, these guys were life savers. Not only were they very flexible and professional, but they were able to help me fit everything I needed in my midsized truck, without so much as a scratch. They were very friendly, expeditious, and overall, awesome. I don't foresee me throwing anything soon given the circumstances, but these guys will be my first call if I do!

I was a typical bad customer. I came in 3 min before closing time on a 3 day weekend, wanting a complex rental of a trencher and a small trailer. I had the wrong car, had to call a nearby family member to use their car, had to get an adapter for the tail light hookup because mine didn't work, never used the trencher so had to be in-serviced, etc...

I came in to rent a power washer, it was a quick and easy process where they explained how to use it and loaded up everything for me. Unfortunately, I had to return it because it wouldn't start and when I brought it back and explained what happened the manager made it 100% right and lent me another one. The young, (Native American?) man who worked there was so professional and helpful loading the power washer into my van, it made my whole day better. I asked for his name (Judge) because he deserves 5* as well.

YIKES. Stay far away from this place. I called to ask questions about renting equipment, and the person I spoke with was absolutely horrible at their job. They lacked any and all forms of customer service skills, interrupted me and made rude comments. Hopefully this person isn't the owner because they have zero idea how to run a business. I won't be back for any personal or business related rental needs. Everyone should use Cort!!

I rented several items from Aurora Rents for a neighborhood block club party: tables including an "ice table" that is deep with a center drain, chairs, drink dispensers and a popcorn machine WITH the packaged oil/salt/popcorn and the serving bags. These folks have anything you could want! Delivery was right on time and their rules for pick-up are very generous; I didn't have to break everything down the same night. Their delivery and pick-up guys are personable and efficient. I'll definitely be using them again!

I had an issue while getting my chainsaw serviced at Aurora Rents and both Darin and Bruce went out of their way to apologize for the inconvenience and to rectify the situation. I was very pleased with their willingness to do whatever it took to resolve the matter. I will certainly be going back for new products and service.

We rented a propane, tow-behind BBQ for a housewarming party where we roasted a pig. We also surprised everyone by getting married, but no one knew it was coming. About an hour into the pig roasting process the motor started to malfunction. Their head mechanic Darren rushed over, making multiple trips back and forth, to fix the motor in under an hour. We are SO GRATEFUL to him for helping us, and are happy to report the wedding and the pig were a huge hit! Thank you thank you for taking such great care of us on our special day!

Similar to a few other reviewers I also had an unpleasant experience with Bruce. Extremely rude and insulting. He told me "I should buy a new house". Due to the fact we were renting equipment to fix something on a older house. Amongst other comments the one I really left annoyed with was when I returned the heavy equipment I simply asked for help getting it out (i was pregnant) and he claimed I was "pulling the girl card". -- Saying this directly at me! I kept my composure and just left. I will NEVER go there again.

Just wanted to say the first time I met Bruce I was being a grump having a bad day.

Over the course of the years this guy has been one of the best people in my life, and I'll bet his equipment and attitude has seen some people through some cool building projects and good times, most of us probably drive by them and just don't even know.

I rented a Bosh Rotohammer for a day. When I rented, Aurora put a hold my card for value of the hammer, 343.99. I returned the hammer and was charged rental for the hammer, just over $50. I noticed that the 343.99 continued for some time as a hold on my cc. I was not worried about it, thinking the bank was just slow, but as it turned out Aurora charged me the 343 on top of the rental fee.
When I called, they immediately 'fixed' this, but I did not get much of an apology. I am still waiting for the credit back to show on my online bank statement.

I was pretty excited about renting a cotton candy machine from Aurora Rents- the price was great, and the location was really convenient. I also rent kind of a lot of stuff as the event coordinator for a huge organization.
We picked it up and were given a print out of the instructions. We set it up about 20 minutes early "just in case" and thank goodness we did because it was a nightmare. It was forming globs of cotton candy and spraying webs of sugar all over the floor, wall and anyone of the 150 guests who got near it. THIS WAS WITH THE COVER ON. Spun sugar just shooting out the front

Renting equipment turned into the easiest part of our backyard project!!! We pulled in to the parking lot a few minutes before they were even supposed to be open. One of the guys asked what we were renting, we told him, then went inside. Before we had finished the paper work, our stuff had already been loaded into the back of our truck. Drop off was a breeze as well.
They also have two awesome dogs that hang out in the store, so an extra star for them.

I'm a landscape contractor and these guys are the best. After trying out various rental places, Aurora Rents stands out as higher-than-average for equipment condition and customer service. All locations are equally awesome. In the rare case that we've had problems with the equipment, most of the times they're able to help me troubleshoot over the phone & if the equipment is really problematic (which is very rare), they'll send a truck out with a replacement machine right away at no charge.
