This review is long overdue and has a bit of a backstory. These folks lent a hand in an issue involving a vehicle that was related to the mass shooting in VB. The owner handled multiple issues with a vehicle involved for me and was so very kind to everyone involved. He also would not allow us to pay him. If I EVER need a tow he's the first one on my list.

After a 4 hour hassle with my insurance company and another towing company, Hickory Towing solved my issue. LIFE. SAVERS. I had called USAA to get us a tow truck and after 4 days, decided to ditch their efforts and call around to move our camper over just a couple feet in a tight space. A few other companies quoted us ridiculous prices (one said $385!!! !?!?!).
And others just kept saying they’d come and kept pushing us back. Welllllll... called Hickory— sent them a couple pics and they showed up 45 minutes later. They tried it even though it was a tough job and got exactly what I needed. LOVE THEM. I will shout my praises to the rooftops. Professional. Optimistic. Timely. AMAZING! USE. THEM!!!

Great company. Had an vehicle accident in the middle of the night. Called them and they got there quickly, within the time frame I was given, they gave me an accurate price for everything, and made sure they didn't damage my truck. They are a little pricy but the driver was excellent and knew what he was doing. They were calm and happy to help

They are a SCAM service. They sit in the parking lot next to the DMV on Saturday mornings and wait for the overflow to park in the Wagner eye care lot (all businesses there are closed on Saturday and parking there for an hour does no harm). Once you park and go in the building they tow your car about a mile or two up the road by the city garage site and then charge you $$$$$180.00 DOLLARS to get it back. The guy was a bully and just down right mean. He took advantage of a kid (getting his first picture license) and his mom. Horrible, sneaky, just not necessary.

Today, I had to pick up my car after it was towed when I had parked in a resident space at an apartment complex. Matt answered the call immediately, and was helpful and polite, when I arrived,my car was all set and parked in front of the office. Literally in 5 minutes I was able to pay and was on my way. Fantastic customer service . Although not an ideal situation due to my error, I can say Hickory Towing is a class A enterprise!!

This company put a green sticker on my paint job and shouldn't have because my inspection for my vehicle wasn't even expired. My windshield was recently replaced so I put my registration receipt on the dashboard. The guy on phone claimed to be former police but was clueless of the law for Chesapeake or Virginia. They damaged my $50,000 convertible Z for what?? because you jealous you don't have one. This company is crap..... 0 stars and junk of a company.. I have an insurance claim and filed a police report against them! See you in court

Thank you Matt for coming to the rescue! A long day at the beach, two 11year olds and a broken down vehicle almost kept us overnight at the beach on a work night. AAA was a major disappointment after a 4 hour wait in the Va. Beach area but Matt came to the rescue! He brought us a spare wheel/tire and put it on for us! We made it home shortly after midnight but we made it! Thank you, Thank you!! Highly recommend!

Got stuck by the side of the road in the snow so I called this towing company for some roadside assistance. The guy who picked up was so rude in conversation, told me "well that's too bad but we can't really help you right now" and hung up. I'd give 0 stars if I could. Need towing? Call someone else.

I just have to say that Hickory towing saved us BIG!!! It's Monday oct 10th, two days after hurricane Matthew swept through and we were moving our brand new, like just picked up Saturday, 2017 35ft Thor Motor Coach to store at a friends house out in Pungo. My husband ended up putting the back drivers side tire in a ditch and needless to say I was freaking out!! We called a ton of places but bc of the storm everyone was swamped, or couldn't handle the RV. Want to talk about an joke? This company is it. The website provides incorrect information, such as the ability to use credit cards. In addition, you have to call so someone can meet you there and that takes an additional hour. Don't even get me started on customer service because there isn't any. Avoid at all costs.
