We are a family-owned meat market, grocery store, tortilleria, and Mexican-deli located in the southside of San Antonio, Texas. Ramona and Fermin Rodriguez bought this business back in 1975. Thrif-T-Mart has remained in the Rodriguez family since then. Over the years, we have strived to serve our community by providing the freshest food with the best possible service.

While a lot has changed since opening, we are proud to say that the original recipes for our deli, meat market, and tortillas remain the same! We are dedicated to continuing our family's legacy and its values by prioritizing our employees, customers, neighbors, and friends. Nothing has been more important to us than the community we have made here on Zarzamora street.

Thrif-T Mart is a staple in the southside community and has been since the 70s. It’s too bad there are not more neighborhood grocers like thriftmart left. Delicious food, great prices, friendly service and the best people. Also the best tortillas.

Been going there for years since 1965 we love when Mr n Mrs Rodriguez the owners were there when they built the new store they're friendly the deli ,market has the meat deal n the sales are great thanks to all the Workers n staff n cashiers n managers KEEPUP THE GOOD WORK💯👍👍

Love this place its a hidden gem on the southside. Meat market in back still got them garlic , polish sausage rings.Oh and they sell hot food , but closes at 3 or 4 pm.And I know they use to sell reg. Sandwiches..NOT TOO MANY KNOW ABOUT THAT..YEAH,! GREAT PLACE..

I love their Barbacoa.. They sell by a taco or by the pound!
Their tortillas are soo good.
Their meat market is usually fully stock with great selection.

They USED to sell the best uncooked menudo. We have been buying it there for over 30 years.
We bought some about 2 weeks ago and it was not fresh at all. This is the reason we don't buy it at our only large grocery stores.
And it was ridiculously expensive,!
I understand everything has gotten more expensive, but come on ....
I think these owners forgot where they came from and who has made them successful.

Every monday 2 bean and cheese from open till 10 I think, for a buck and some change.

Thrif-T-Mart meat market has the freshest meats, of whatever kind you are looking for. I found the fresh rope Garlic Sausage, ordered two rope's, and was satisfied.
You never know when they may be out.
