Services
The Shore Ballet School has been teaching students to dance in the Toms River area for over 30 years. The school was founded in 1972, and since its inception, has always been dedicated to the highest standards of dance training. Originally just a school for classical ballet, the studio started with basic technique classes.
Dancewear is available at the Shore Ballet School. Registered students are required to have regulation uniforms prior to the start of classes. All dancewear must be properly fitted by our staff. New students should not go and buy dancewear before speaking with Shore Ballet teachers. Students who have had previous training elsewhere must have their dancewear approved by Shore Ballet teachers.
The Shore Ballet School is a modern day dance school with traditional values and standards. It offers a perfectly balanced curriculum for any student, and is lead by an outstanding professional staff. At every level, our classes are fun as well as being disciplined and challenging to get the most from every student.
A discounted rate is given to all students taking more than one class. Students enrolling in two or more classes may choose to finance payments monthly. Families with more than one person enrolled may choose to finance payments monthly. Ten payments; first and last month due at registration and thereafter on the first day of each month from October through May.
At Shore Ballet School we offer non-competitive dance classes that are fun for students of young ages as well as offering more challenging classes that are suitable for students ages 8 and beyond. Private coaching is also available for serious students. We are a professional school with skilled instructors that are caring and nurturing as well as being trained in leading a classroom.

When my daughters were first beginning their dance classes 18 years ago, I wanted to make sure that they received professional level instruction, while also having fun and growing to love dance. I was thrilled to find Shore Ballet which taught the Royal Academy of Dance curriculum and produced professional performances, with an understanding of how to productively communicate with their youngest ballerinas. I loved watching my girls progress at their own pace over the years. My middle daughter, a college graduate who now lives out of the area, still takes adult ballet classes for fun. My youngest

What an amazing studio. I grew up at Shore Ballet, and the ballet education can not be beat!!! The director, Ms. Starr, is highly educated in the art of ballet. Island Heights is very lucky to have such a school. Your child will learn proper ballet/dance, and not just tricks! Shore Ballet trained me to be the dance teacher I am today!
