Rare Finds Ltd. specializes in English and French 18th and 19th century antiques, including a large selection of fireplace furnishings, Victorian bamboo furniture, mirrors, lamps, boxes, tea caddies and brassware. Fraida Aland, the proprietor of Rare Finds Ltd., grew up surrounded by antiques in her home, and her passion for antiques grew from her childhood.
In 1986 Fraida fulfilled a lifelong dream. She opened Rare Finds Ltd. Fraida selects each and every "rare find" in the shop personally during her quarterly visits to England and France. She is guided by a simple and straightforward principle: "I will select a piece for my shop only if I would be proud to have that antique in my own home."
