Doctors of Podiatric Medicine (DPMs) are also known as [foot doctors]. The foot and ankle are complex. The human foot contains more than 26 bones and 33 joints and more than 100 muscles, tendons and ligaments. Podiatrists are concerned with the health of their patients by focusing on preventing, diagnosing, and treating conditions associated with the foot and ankle.
Diabetic Foot Care is essential for those suffering from diabetes. More than 16 million Americans have diabetes and of those, between 10 and 15% will develop a diabetic foot ulcer during their lifetime. These ulcers are commonly found along the bottom of the foot and come with complications like swelling, infection, reduced mobility, and sometimes even a need for hospitalization.
Achilles tendonitis is a painful and often debilitating inflammation of the Achilles tendon (heel cord). The Achilles tendon is the largest and strongest tendon in the body. It is located in the back of the lower leg, attaches to the heel bone (calcaneus), and connects the leg muscles to the foot.
Your ankle bone and the ends of your two lower leg bones make up the ankle joint. Your ligaments, which connect bones to one another, stabilize and support it. Your muscles and tendons move it. The ankles support the entire body weight and ankle injuries are very common.

Each year, approximately 2 million patients are treated for ankle sprains and strains and ankle fractures are one of the most common injuries treated by orthopedists and podiatrists.Ankle injuries usually involve a sudden, unexpected, loss of balance that results in a sharp twist of the ankle. The most common ankle problems are sprains and fractures.

I had the pleasure to encounter Dr. Vu after researching podiatrists online. Being big on reviews, I decided to give this physician a try. I must vouch that the five star review is certainly accurate. After my first visit, I felt like he'd been my doctor for years. He is friendly, witty, and very interactive. He talks to you
not at you which makes your experience less intimidating. His assistant is a perfect fit. She is very kind and and works in unison with the doctor. The ambiance and decor in his Reisterstown office is soothing fits perfectly with the doctor's personality. I just referred my

I have severely flat feet and I got custom made orthotics from Dr. Vu. Overall great experience. He is incredibly friendly and gives good advice on how to take care of your feet. The orthotics fit great and i've already noticed improvements in comfort and pain relief.

I have been under Dr. Dang Vu's podiatry care for not only general foot problems, but more recently he has been treating my lower right leg for a cat bite which occurred at my home in the past May 2018.
Dr. Vu's concern and treatment of the bite ulcer has been progressively beneficial for me.
The ulcerated bite area has diminished each successive week, and I am seeing significant improvement in my wound area. The staff who assist Dr. Vu are very professional and kind. All my medical questions that are related to my wound treatment are quickly answered by Dr. Vu and/ or a staff assistant.

I am not usually one to write a review but my experience was here was so amazing I absolutely had to share it! First a little info about me, I am in my mid forties, super active and have been pretty much on my feet my whole adult life. I started having some sharp pains in my heel and mid foot about six months ago or so, I ignored it until I just couldn't anymore. (Don't do this, bad idea). When I finally decided to get myself to a podiatrist, I was lucky to have a friend recommend Dr. Vu. He is fantastic, great bedside manner and he knows his stuff. He made me feel comfortable as he explained the
