He is a skilled performer, composer and teacher. His training includes prestigious European conservatories and first-class American universities, from which he has synthesized a wide variety of musical and pedagogical influences.

I played piano as a child but, like many others, did not keep at it. At my age, I decided I wanted to do more than memorize notes. I wanted to understand the structure of songs and the theory behind that structure. Mr. Fernandez presents the information in such a manner that each topic builds onto the next, each reinforcing important concepts while staying interesting. His love of music and enthusiasm for teaching is demonstrable at every lesson and I have made great progress under his instruction. Mr. Fernandez is an excellent teacher. He is talented, dedicated, and very kind. My daughters love learning piano from him. They learn very fast as beginners. With Mr. Fernandez’s excellent teaching skill and clear guidance, my kids have learned how to play piano, how to read music notation, and music theory. A couple of years ago, my oldest boy (now 13) had dropped out of 5th grade band, because he said he lacked the dedication that playing the violin required. He said he’d rather play the piano. LOL. At this point, my younger boy (now 11) had already decided that he didn’t even want to be in band or play any instrument at all. Mr. Fernadez is an excellent piano teacher. I was reluctant at first to take my 8 yo son because he was not interested in learning piano but I wanted him to at least try it. I am glad he did and thanks to mr. Fernandez my now 9 yo still is playing and getting better at it. Mr. Hernandez is very patient and takes his time to explain step by step whatever the notes or lecture for the class. Highly would recommend Mr.Fernandez

I want to share my story... Little over a year ago I was looking for a piano teacher that would work with Kids with special needs. I tried different companies that would stated "work with special needs children" but seriously I couldn't tell what was so special about their teaching methods. I am an adult student and have been taking lessons from Fernando for close to a year. He is a fantastic teacher. I have had a few teachers in the past and the routines were always the same: memorize, drills and more drills. With Fernando, he teaches fundamental piano playing techniques like recognizing patterns, finger positions, reading in blocks, practicing small group of notes at a time, etc. I have more than a few “ah-ha” moments when I finally understand the whys and the hows. I especially like that he rearranges some songs that are too difficult for my level so I can still play and enjoy
