Services
Lavabelles Vacation Rentals began in 2007 with three houses downtown Bend, Oregon - Flo, Lucinder and Laverne. McMenamins Old St Francis school was under renovation across Lava Road and the newly named "Old Bend" neighborhood was changing fast. Lavabelles has grown to include fifteen vacation homes, all within a few blocks of the Deschutes River, coffee, bikes, and breweries.
Sleeps up to 8. Stunning Craftsman home in Downtown Bend. This is a fabulous 1920s original located in the heart of "Old Bend" neighborhood in downtown Bend that has been lovingly restored to it's original beauty. From the subway tiles in the kitchen and bathrooms, to the pocket doors off the living room, the push button light switches, the quarter sawn oak, this house is a treat for folks who appreciate historic homes and the craftsman ethos.
Sleeps up to 6. Welcome to Fern House, a relaxed two bedroom, one bath bungalow located at 358 NW Riverside Boulevard, two blocks of the Deschutes River in a quiet and central neighborhood. This cozy home has a large living room with gas stove, modern kitchen, two bedrooms (each with a queen bed) and expansive outdoor space.
Sleeps up to 6. If you are looking for the amenities of a new house in a historic shell, Lucinder is your Belle. This house is the product of a complete remodel that focused on the reinvigoration of old design and integration of indoor and outdoor space. The result is a cook's dream and relaxing oasis with beautiful views of the Cascades and Downtown Bend.
Sleeps up to 4. Laverne is a one-bedroom historic cottage perched above and behind Lava Flo with incredible views of downtown with a fabulous new deck. The house was originally a parsonage, housing traveling preachers in the 1950s. The modern kitchen has tile countertops, a gas range, dishwasher, and built-in vintage formica booth seating.

I stayed in two Lavabelles houses over the summer and really enjoyed my stay. You can’t beat the location of the Lavabelles houses. For an affordable price, I stayed in an enviable location that allowed me to walk everywhere—to the river, Old Mill, restaurants, downtown, and breweries—and have my dog with me. Unlike “standard” rentals or VRBOs, these houses are stylish, historic homes with modern touches. They were super clean, well-stocked, and the outdoor areas of the houses were just as incredible as the indoor ones. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that the owner, Cara, is

Just ended a two week stay at the Church and totally enjoyed every element of it. Lavabelles provides excellent service, responsive professional and helpful. Sparkling clean, many many thoughtful touches, extremely well equipped. The house is very cool, great layout, fabulous indoor and outdoor spaces and within easy walking distance of many parts of Bend--downtown, Drake Park, grocery store, Old Mill etc.

Sadly our trip to Bend was cancelled due to wildfire smoke and dangerous air quality, but Cara was fantastic to work with throughout the process. We appreciated her being so accommodating to our plans changing at the last minute due to these crazy circumstances, and she was extremely responsive, professional, and understanding. When we do reschedule our trip to Bend, we will definitely book one of her awesome properties!

What a fantastic house in a perfect location. The owners are extremely kind and responsive. Cara was always willing to accommodate my family. The house was very clean and well stocked. Having a fenced yard for our dog was so convenient but even better was the dog park across the street (school by day--dog park on nights and weekends). It was a safe location and we enjoyed walking to dinner, breakfast and even to the Newport Market grocery store. Will recommend this place to all friends/family who visit and newcomers to Bend to stay.

We had a lovely stay in Bend in our Lavabelles rental. The house was perfect. We arrived to find it sparkling clean and the house had everything we needed. The living room was spacious and roomy as were the bedrooms. We loved hanging out both in and outside the house.
The side yard has a the table, chairs, hot tub and a pleasant garden to enjoy. The house is in a great location too! It is walking distance to downtown Bend, where we enjoyed many breweries and restaurants. This was not my first stay in a Lavabelles rental and it is not going to be my last.

We have had many memorable and comfortable stays at these homes. We found wonderful books on the shelves, thoughtful touches everywhere; from the reading nook to the mismatched dresser knobs. The homes were spotless yet comfortable enough to host a backyard BBQ. We walked to shops and drank coffee on the front porch. You can count me in as a Lavabelles frequent flyer.

We have stayed at Lavabelles several times now (at Lavern, Lucinder and Flo), and every time I have been impressed with the style, cleanliness, and how comfortable each house has been. The Wi-Fi is great, the kitchen makes it easier with young children, and the enclosed outdoor space is perfect for our dogs, so we don't have to leash up every time they need to go out (though the neighborhood is great for walking them too, and a short walk into downtown and Drake park)). It's our go to spot now, when we come up to ski, bike and visit with family.

Cara and Sandy at Lavabelles were incredible to work with while we needed housing during our time finding a home to buy and finally closing on it. Toby House was clean and cozy, and Josie House was clean and spacious for when our family came to visit. We could not have found a better company to work with while we moved to Bend.

Wonderful location and well stocked amenities, no complaints! We stayed at The Church, a group of over 50 women, plenty of room and sooo beautiful! Loved the outside seating and being able to walk to EVERYTHING. I would definitely use a Lavabelles rental again.

This cozy home in Bend was a true dream come true! We traveled to OR all the way from Miami, FL with our two girls (three and under) and the stay was magnificent! Very close to everything! We walked to coffee, dinner, the bookstore, the library, the park and more! Would highly recommend this location for anyone looking for a CLEAN and COZY getaway with an amazing outdoor space and well designed interior. We will be staying again during our next visit and referring our friends and family! Thank you for your hospitality, Cara!

We stayed at the church property for 10 days and it was fantastic. Kids and grandparents all loved the open and shared living areas. Whether folks are cooking, reading or playing, everyone is together in the same gorgeous space, which is great for family time. Kitchen is really well equipped for big meals and even baking. It’s a beautiful building with a lot of history and a really thoughtful and unique design. Nice gardens make great use of the back yard. And the location is hard to beat... you’re a block away from everything in downtown bend, which makes impromptu meals, ice cream, and outings

Stayed at Fay several times during our transition from CA to Bend. Fabulous little house is a great location. Easy walk to the Old Mill District, downtown and, of course, 10 Barrel. The house is comfortable and perfect for a family. Not much storage in the kitchen for food but who wants to eat in when they are on vacation! The furnishings are mid-century kitsch and very comfy. The backyard is perfect for gathering after a long day exploring Bend. Book your stay at Fay.... you will not regret it.

I've stayed in Fay a few times now, and it is simply fantastic. It's hard to choose a favorite Lavabelles home, since they are all so wonderful, but I've fallen in love with this place. The view of the cherry tree in the backyard from the bedroom, the lovely way the sliding glass doors and windows allow views and access to the breeze and the gorgeous yard without compromising on privacy, the fantastic quality kitchen, furniture, bedding, and decor....I want to move there! The hot tub, the guesthouse, the firepit, the lounge chairs, and the backyard with perfect combos of sun and

We stayed 4 nights in Fay with our pup. The location was perfect for walking downtown, which we did a couple of times as we lucked out with some really warm weather for March. The neighborhood is not upscale (although the property prices probably are), but it is very quiet & safe. The home itself met my very high standards for cleanliness. It had a light & open feel even though the home is small. We didn't spend much time in the back yard, but it would be great in the summer & fall. The hot tub was perfect.

A couple of great places to walk our dog that we discovered were

I rarely post on Yelp, but I had to write about our wonderful stay in one of the Lavabelles houses in Bend this past spring. We (my husband, toddler daughter and I) stayed in the Fay house for a month, and it could not have been more perfect. The house was immaculate, super stylish (eco modern decor), and stocked with everything we could have ever needed for our stay. The backyard has a fire pit, jacuzzi and an adorable little guest house that's perfect for extra visitors. The location also could not have been more perfect -- we were within walking distance of all the great restaurants, bakeries

Six of my extended family stayed at Homer house in Bend for a week. It was a beautiful, clean, modern craftsman house located a short walk from downtown Bend and the river. It was a great experience working with Cara/Lavabelles. The house had everything we needed, with a well-stocked kitchen and a big comfortable living room with a gas stove that really put out the heat. And a hot tub! The price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend this company and look forward to coming back to Bend and renting another house from them in the future.

My family and I stayed at the Fay house for three weeks in August 2011. I've rented many houses all over the US and in different countries, and Fay is one of my favorites. First, the Westside location is fantastic. The street is residential, so you feel like you're living in Bend. At the end of the street is a park---nice for pets and kiddos---and the river, with a take-out, so if you float down the Deschutes you can just get out there and walk the few minutes home. It's a nice short walk to downtown and Westside restaurants. Best of all, you go up the block and hang a left and in

We stayed in the Faye house and LOVED LOVED LOVED IT! In fact we added an additional unplanned night to our visit, purely because of the place. The house had a nice retro decor and a great backyard with a stellar gas fire pit and hot tub.

They did not skimp on the details. The kitchen had chef quality appliances and the futon bed was very comfortable. A couple of amenities that we very much enjoyed were the loaner snow shoes and the free passes to the movies!

Lastly, we traveled with our pets and this place was a dog lovers gem. Our pups also gave it paws up!!!

We've stayed at Lavabelles several times. The downtown homes are awesome, but the westside houses are really amazing and still very close to everything. We initially were attracted b/c they are so pet friendly but honestly, I don't know how they keep the houses so meticulous and provide such great, no nonsense information. The style and furnishings are really enjoyable and you can tell that these people take enormous pride in these vacation rentals. Cara, the owner, is very easy to communicate with and has lots of helpful information. Highly Recommended!!
