Dr. Ulfat Shafiq is a Brighton, NY native who spent her formative years growing up in our community.
Proper oral hygiene is necessary for eliminating bacteria in the mouth. Bacteria builds to form plaque that can harden and lead to long-term ailments such as gingivitis, a mild form of gum disease, and periodontal disease if it is not removed. A good dental care routine and regular check ups will keep your mouth healthy and prevent inflammation, infection, decay, and tooth loss.
Sleep apnea (OSA) is a disruptive and potentially life-threatening condition that deprives your body of a steady flow of oxygen. With OSA, the airway is blocked or has collapsed, leading to pauses in breathing and / or snoring. One of the first signs of sleep apnea manifests in tooth grinding. Your dentist will inspect your teeth to see if there are signs of wear and tear.
A routine teeth cleaning, or Wellness visit, maintains a healthy mouth and it is recommended that you visit us every 6 months; however oral needs change with age and the condition of your teeth, gums and restorations so the dentist may recommend a checkup schedule that is more frequent. At your appointment you will receive a complete clinical examination of your teeth, gums and head and neck.

A dental crown, (often referred to as a cap) is a restoration that covers the entire visible surface of a tooth. A crown is custom made to fit your individual tooth, and will not only protect and strengthen that tooth, but also restore it to its original size and shape.

I had my cleaning and fillings done here in last 2 weeks and I loved the atmosphere. Everyone here is friendly and very caring in the office from front desk to hygienist and Dr shafiq. Doctor Shafiq is very nice and informative and I felt very comfortable during my visits. and very satisfied with the job and information provided to me during my appointments.

So I needed to find a new dentist and kept waiting (this pandemic causes panic), but an acquaintemce told me about Edgeview Dental awhile ago (JV). So finally I scheduled a consultation on 12/23/21, and NOW they probably will have me as a patient for life! The treatment, care, breakdown of plan, what to expect, what will happen next, etc., I left there in AWE because I have always been scared of dentists and especially there bills LOL, but not at Edgeview Dental. If your still smiling with your mouth closed, call them, you won't regret it, I sure don't!

I would like to thank the Edgeview Dental team for a wonderful experience. I had 2 teeth extracted, and the thoughtfulness of my comfort was the best experience I ever had at any dentist office. This was a new dental appointment. I was very nervous at first due to meeting a new dentist an staff. I was so happy I finally made an appointment. Dr park an his staff are awesome. They got me in the following day due to problems I'm having an I never felt rushed. They were very concerned and went through my options in details that I felt comfortable about. So glad I finally got to meet Dr Park and his staff. Give them a try I'm sure you will too!

My expectations were greatly exceeded at Edgeview Dental. I was having severe pain and called to make an appointment at about 3:15 pm. I was there by 3:30 pm and driving home at 5:30 pm after a successful tooth extraction. Dr. Park was very skilled, knowledgeable and good with communication. His team of dental assistants and his receptionist were all polite and professional as well. I will definitely be a returning customer.
