Dance With Us America is one of the premier ballroom dance studios in the midwestern United States. We have trained 13 national dance champions. We are home to Dancing with the Stars "Alan Bersten". Owners Gene and Elena Bersten are not only amazing teachers, but they are also ballroom dance champions.
They are currently competing in Professional Latin ballroom competitions all over the country. Gene and Elena have been featured on the reality TV program, So You Think You Can Dance. They have also starred in the most prestigious ballroom dance show in the world, Burn the Floor.

Services
Gene Bersten was born in Belarus and raised in Minnesota. Gene's dance partner is his wife Elena. He has been complimented on numerous occasions on his wonderful and strong partnering skills, his hard work ethic, his determination, and passion for dancing and performing. Gene dances with his heart and soul and always delivers a meaningful performance full of passion.
These classes can be enjoyed by dancers of all ages, no partner is needed! Latin and Standard technique classes aim to help dancers improve their technique. Each class is centered around one dance. Students learn a short routine and work on technical elements of execution while keeping it fast-paced, inspiring and fun.
Cancellation Policy: You may change or cancel appointments up to 24 hours in advance. Appointments cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled time will be automatically charged 50% of the lesson price. Thank you for your cooperation! Private Lessons expire 1 year after purchase date. Group Classes and Sessions Policy: Group class packages Expire 1 year after purchase.
The following classes are available in 12 (mostly) week sessions, commitment for the entire session is required. This class will focus on fundamental techniques of Latin and Standard dances (Cha cha, Samba, Waltz, Quickstep). This class is intended for children with dance experience, and will require teacher recommendation.
This program is for serious established couples and advanced dancers, ages 7 to 15, who take private lessons and plan to compete (formerly this class met on Saturdays 1:30 - 3:00). The program will focus on Latin and Standard technique, strength and conditioning, endurance, presentation. The program requires a 9 month commitment (September to May) and regular attendance.

I love Dance With Us America so much!! The coaches have an incredible knowledge of all dance styles! From learning a wedding dance, to wanting to compete or just dance for fun this is the perfect place! This studio makes me feel like family!! Gene and Elena are the best!!!! Great place to learn ballroom dance - whether you do it for fun or want to dance competitively. Gene and Elena, the studio owners are very knowledgeable and passionate about their art (does not hurt that they are FANTASTIC dancers themselves!).
Our children has been dancing with the studio since 2011, and we are thrilled to bring them to the place where they see first hand how thoughtful and dedicated practice produces good results (both from the teachers and fellow dancers). Gene and Elena are wonderful!! We started out with the private wedding dance lessons, and our wedding dance turned out so great!! We were so pleased with our experience that we took additional dance classes for fun!! They have hosted several themed events a year that are so much fun to go to. What a great place to learn ballroom dancing! I love the teachers - professional and actively competing dancers themselves, they are truly inspiring! They are fantastic at explaining and demonstrating the technical and artistic aspects of every dance. My children have been taking dance with Gene, Lena (and now Vassily too) for over 3 years, and they love coming to their lessons and classes. The teachers are demanding and encouraging - a winning combination that keeps inspiring dancers, young and old!
I would highly recommend this studio!
