Oak Asset Management
Given the complexity of today's financial markets, successful investing requires a significant commitment of time, knowledge, and on-going attention. Yet most investors only manage their portfolios part-time and find most investment decisions to be daunting. At Oak Asset Management, we believe investors are best served by engaging investment professionals to design, manage, and monitor their portfolios.

We are an independent investment advisory practice providing comprehensive asset management strategies for affluent individuals, families, and corporate investors. We offer a complimentary "Get Acquainted" meeting to describe our services, and to see if our services are right for you. Oak Asset Management, LLC is a Registered Investment Adviser.
Services
In addition to our extensive experience in the financial services industry, we have worked together as a team since 1996. Our backgrounds bring a collaborative approach to money management, as we focus on three key principles: optimal asset allocation, disciplined security selection, and active portfolio management.
As an independent investment advisory firm, Oak Asset Management provides individual portfolio management on a discretionary basis. Our disciplined approach combines fundamental research, proprietary valuation models and proper diversification. We invest in companies with strong cash flow, consistent earnings, and managements committed to creating shareholder value.
To help grow our clients' wealth over time by investing in companies with strong cash flow, consistent earnings, and management committed to creating shareholder value. Companies with these characteristics tend to have the ability to reinvest in their business, acquire other businesses, buy back company stock or provide shareholders with a cash dividend.
With historically low interest rates, ever-present inflation, and many people in retirement for 20+ years, projecting retirement investment income has become increasingly important for meeting your retirement needs. We believe long-term retirement planning incorporates investing for both capital appreciation and increasing cash-flow from those investments.
Major Wall Street firms like to use ambiguous terms, such as "conservative" or "moderate growth", to describe an investor's risk tolerance. However, the risk/return tradeoff is specific to each investor and generalizing client risk tolerance doesn't benefit anyone in the advisor-client relationship.

Report
I followed a trusted investment manager when he left UBS to open his own investment firm Oak Asset Management. While I still have assets at UBS, Oak is a primary independent asset manager for my portfolio. A key factor is their lack of prescribed format and small group of focused specialists. My contact is Dave Watson, who is impeccably responsive and a great out-of-the-box thinker with decades of experience in brick-and-mortar business as well as managing branches for more conventional investment firms.
