Our mission at Home Care Assistance is to help seniors live well at home. We provide older adults that reside in Colorado Springs and El Paso County with quality care that enables them to live happier, healthier lives, our goal is for each senior to thrive. Our services are distinguished by the caliber of our caregivers, concierge level care management, our whole person, quality of life approach to senior care, and our brain health program.
Dorothy is a 25 year USAF veteran, serving primarily as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer with one assignment at the USAF Academy as a Group AOC. She retired in 2011 as a Colonel and Commander of the 48th Maintenance Group, at RAF Lakenheath, England. In 2011, she and Mark returned the family to the Colorado Springs area, attracted by the outstanding school systems, year-round sports and outdoor activities and beauty of the Front Range.
Home Care Assistance performs rigorous screening to find the best, most reliable and caring caregivers available. When you meet them, you'll immediately feel at ease. We typically hire only 1 in 25 applicants. Caregivers must have experience working with older adults. We check references, national criminal backgrounds, and legal right-to-work documentation.

I have used their service for a year now to assist my wife dealing with early onset dementia. Our caregiver is so loving and caring. She gives my wife activities to do. they run some errands together, go on walks and exercise to keep my wife active. She also reads to my wife. I couldn't ask for a better caregiver than the one we have provided to us by Home Care Assistance! The flexibility to change schedules is also amazing. they are there for us when I need them.

The minute my parents and myself met owner Dorothy, we were "hooked" excellent help with questions and concerns. Excellent office workers and the best caregivers. HCA's caregivers stand out in their professionalism in this very varied home care world . In my experience, the ones I knew and worked with were always ready to jump in and compassionately help whenever help was need. Their clients' welfare were their first priority so they all were strong advocates for their clients. Every caregiver was interactive and engaged both their clients as well as the families in daily activities, home and community functions, decision-making, family events. I have been using the services provided for a couple years now for my Mother. Right from the very start Mike and Dorothy have been fully engaged and extremely responsive. The entire care team has been wonderful and proactive. They work hard to make sure that I am well informed with situations and conditions that arise with my Mom.
