The carpets produced in Persia during the 19th century are remarkable and highly coveted by museums and collectors. Evidence supports Oriental rugs as the forerunner to Western art. Artists revered today understand the value of Persian rugs. Exhibiting the design and construction seeped in tradition, which is made for lasting durability and a display of Persian tradition.
Medallion Rug Gallery is pleased to offer an extensive list of services that will help ensure that your handmade area rugs will last for several generations. Our homes tell a carefully curated story. Textures, sentiments, coziness and style flow into spaces filled with character and charisma. A rug is the one piece of decor that brings layers of texture, dimensionality, color and warmth to any space and Medallion is pleased to bring our showroom straight to your home.
When talking about sizes of handmade rugs, we also need to discuss their shape. Handmade rugs are made in different sizes and shapes. Since most handmade Area rugs are rectangular, only this shape rug has been assigned standard sizes. Other shapes include runner, round, oval, square, and some odd shapes area rugs.
A neoclassical style of architecture and interior design popular from 1765 through 1790. Some common motifs of Adam designs included oval and octagonal shapes in addition to fans, wreaths and garlands. Some rugs also copied the ceilings (designed in Adam style) of the rooms for which they were commissioned in England.

I had a great experience with Moe at Medallion Rugs. I was looking for a vintage 8x10 rug, which is hard to find - most antique rugs are much larger. I visited probably a dozen shops and looked at too many rugs to count and was feeling discouraged. Everything I liked was too big or too expensive.
I live in Oakland, but I found Medallion online. I inquired about the prices of a couple of rugs and Moe called me the same day. He offered to bring a selection of rugs to my home that same week, which was wonderful. I sent him a photo of my living room and a few examples of rugs I liked.

If I could give negative stars I would, I have three Persian Rugs that were hero loomed from my grandmother, to these guys to wash, my rugs came back destroyed.....one dug was stained yellow, the other rugs tassels were ripped off as if a dog went at it, and the third one although the damage was not severe, the tassels on the rug came back stiff and hard. Super rude employees, when I came back to complain about my rugs, they said “we never have problem with white people, only Persians, the ya re sneaky” (said in Farsi). DO NOT GO HERE

Moe Saeidi is the most helpful and patient man and very knowledgeable about his products. We have purchased several beautiful rugs from him. When they deliver to your home, they move all your furniture and put the pad and rug down just right and then put everything back. They are great when something doesn't work, also. They just want the customer to be happy and love their rugs and the service. I am a lifelong fan.

Many years ago Medallion offered to find us a large oriental rug for a difficult room, brought a selection to our home in Oakland to audition, and they did bring a beautiful Tabriz we loved. The price they quoted was insanely high, and we questioned it. They cut the price almost in half. That raised the first red flag but we bought it. They offered a free rug cleaning, but when we called back to request that service they refused. Second flag. Somehow we also let them take a Sarouk rug we weren't using back to their store to try to sell on commission. Years later we contacted them to get it

I sent an email to the company and they responded which is why I have updated my rating to 2 stars. The email responder told me the business was having phone problems that's why they couldn't hear me. While that sounds reasonable, If that was true, why could I hear talking and laughing on their side? Why didn't I hear anyone on their side say hello? Something funny is going on and I don't care to find out what it is.
