As a dentist, I feel on a personal mission to change the way people feel about "The Dentist." It is extremely exciting to me when, through dentistry, we can change the way a person feels about him or herself. It can be something as little as smoothing a chipped tooth or as complex as a full mouth restoration.

At Milestone Dental Care, our goal is to make our patients feel comfortable, as if they were just stopping by a friend's house for a visit. This is a small practice. They make you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in. There is no pressure to purchase additional services. Dr. Nelson is very kind. She will talk you through what she is doing each step of the way, and her radio station of choice was fun! Highly recommend this practice for dental cleanings. :)

Not my choice of dentist since every time we go nothing is set up before hand because there is no hygienist. Also when pandemic hit no one was called who had appointments upcoming to say that the office would be closing and that they would call to reschedule when reopened. Staff is nice but it is frustrating to get ahold of them when you call. Did not even know patients dental history and has medical records. If other doctors took my kids insurance I would change dentists.

I have personally been a patient of Dr. Nelson's since the early 1990s when I retired from the Navy and she was my wife and children's dentist before that. She is friendly, outgoing, and professional. She understood my concerns and has always provided top-notch care to me and my family. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for good dental care.

I've been going here since grade school and I've never had any issues with Dr. Nelson. I've had extractions, fillings, cleanings, mouth guards, and braces and I have no complaints. No office is without its issues and they can't please everyone. Plainly put, they are one of the best on the island. Know what your coverage is and what your responsible for. If you don't know, then have Bonnie print out your coverage and go over it with you.

Dr. Nelson took the liberty of filling our 6 year old's baby tooth with the ultra expensive composite filling, in lieu of basic silver. We were shocked to receive a bill for $300-after our dental insurance coverage. Delta Dental informed us that we had a choice and Dr. Nelson needed to ask us to which we wanted. She did not. After 3 phone calls and no reply as to why Dr. Nelson did not give us both options, we put a hold on the payment.
Bad attitude and bad work are the ethic at Milestone Dental. If you like decent dental work and respect, go somewhere else.

Is it possible to do less than 1 star? I was black-balled from this practice because I had the "gall" to try and change my appointment due to my husband being deployed. That wasn't a good enough reason, apparently, and was never allowed to make another appointment.

Avoid at all costs. If I could find a way to shut them down, I would. They still have all my previous dental records. Can't get those back either.
