Dr. Callender attended the University of Missouri, Kansas City School of Dentistry where he completed both his General Dentistry and Orthodontic training. He is a 4th generation Coloradan and continues a family tradition of orthodontists established by his father and uncles.

Wondering what is a good age to consider braces for your child? Between the ages of 7 and 9 is an ideal age to first visit our office. Many children require no treatment at this age however developmental problems can be intercepted. By monitoring tooth and jaw growth, problems which may be more difficult to treat at a later age can be addressed to prevent long-term treatment, additional cost, and potential surgery.

The Sleep Apnea Appliance is a custom built oral appliance for treatment of mild to moderate sleep apnea. It looks similar to orthodontic retainers and is comfortable, adjustable, and convenient to use. It is recommended by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine as an acceptable alternative to CPAP.
We invite you to take part in a new patient exam at no cost. You will meet Dr. Callender for a thorough orthodontic evaluation and if appropriate, your next appointments will include impressions, x-rays, and a treatment consultation. Dr. Callender and his staff are so warm and welcoming. Dr. Callender has been so patient with my daughter's anxiety, and has made her fear of having braces (and the potential discomfort) disappear. He explains everything that he's doing, and is extremely gentle and kind. We are so grateful that he was recommended to us, and we offer our recommendation to anyone needing orthodonture.

We absolutely love Dr Callender! They are so professional and so friendly. Dr. Callender has treated me as an adult, and he is now treating my 12-year old son. He is a kind, gentle, and compassionate orthodontist and I can't imagine going anywhere else. He thoroughly explains treatment options, progress, and predicted completion dates. His staff is absolutely the best as well. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else!

I wore braces for five years and was a regular in Dr. Calendar’s office. He and his very competent and friendly staff always very diligent to get me in to see Dr Calendar. It was no fun wearing braces as an adult but they made my experience a pleasant one! Best of all he has two locations that he rotates to work out of.

Dr. Callender is an amazing orthodontist! My son had a tooth growing in sideways under his baby teeth and with the help of an oral surgeon who removed the baby tooth and placed a chain on it, Dr. Callender and his amazing staff slowly pulled that tooth into place all while straightening the rest of his teeth. All of this happened in the transition of losing baby teeth and growing adult teeth. His now has a beautiful smile and is pain free from the obnoxious tooth. I cannot say enough good things about him and his staff!

We love Dr. Callender. He has been so kind, and patient, with my kiddo. He has done everything in his power to make her braces experience bearable. For a kiddo with some horrible experiences with dentists in her past; his patience, humor, calmness, and matter of fact friendliness with her has been priceless. His staff is stellar as well.
