I have been a caregiver for Home Instead (Union City) for more than 5 years. Staff are very friendly and always work with your availability. This is the only Agency I have worked with who organizes family fun dates and Christmas giveaways. This Agency always makes sure caregivers are well equipped with supplies they need. I was inquiring about the company as it’s not too far from my residence. Shannon, who I happen to speak with was very rude and unsympathetic to my questions about what separates Home Instead from the rest of senior cares. If I want to consider a care center, I would need to know what are the appropriate steps they will take to ensure my parents are safe and well taken care of. Home Instead is definitely a company I will not consider for any senior.

We inquired their service (Union City) recently. The folks worked there were really professional and compassionate. The owner showed us that the company is licensed through department of social service for caregiving. All caregivers are employees and background checked with fingerprints (Lifescan) . There are strong processes and check points to ensure customized care are implemented properly. I was very impressed. They will be our first choice when we are ready to use home based senior service.

I would highly recommend Home Instead Senior Care (Union City). We were in need of in-home care for my 88 year-old father who is in the beginning stages of dementia. We’ve had experience with other caregiving businesses and, comparatively, the Home Instead owner, Shannon, and her staff were very well qualified to answer all our questions, put our minds at ease, and have the patience to help us work through some unique situations. Shannon is such a caring person who has the ability to get a good read of the situation and then gently make suggestions to those who may not be ready to make changes

The team at the Fremont area Home Instead were a great help during a trying time.
I needed to find good in-home care for my mother on very short notice. I looked at the various alternatives in our area and chose Home Instead. I am very glad I did.

But if you do, use no other service. I am 86 years old and require senior care. Shannon has provided me with a guardian angel who is highly talented and responsive to my every need. She is available for as little as 4 hours a day, or as many as 24 hours a day. She is an excellent driver and has helped me with my grocery shopping. I do not believe I can bathe without her assistance. She provides minor first aid and daily encouragement. The rates are reasonable.

I have used Home Instead for the past 18 months to help my parents stay safe and healthy in their home. The caregivers sent by Home Instead have been compassionate and well trained. They truly love their geriatric patients. Caregivers are matched by their personality and level of care needed. My father has had two strokes. During his second stroke his caregiver immediately noticed the signs and called 911. Because of her quick action my dad has make a complete recovery.
