Ordered sweet and sour chicken and it was overcooked to little crunchy breading pieces with no discernable chicken. I couldn't even tell there was chicken in the bites. Also was SWIMMING in oil in the container. Worst I've ever had. We don't usually order Chinese from this restaurant so wanted to give them a shot with a simple order. Egg drop soup was fine which gets them 2 stars.

This place is right in my neighborhood but for some reason we haven't been there in ages until last Friday. I have to say it was pretty darn good and we will be going back. We got egg rolls, crispy beef and mu shu pork. We plan on trying more of their menu. I'd recommend supporting this business! It's easy to find good Korean, Thai and Viet cuisine in western Fairfax Cty, but for some reason good Chinese is really hard to find. This fits the bill.

Coming here for many years and have never been disappointed. One takeout error quickly fixed after a decade+ of visits! NOBODY in NOVA food services can beat that metric IMHO. Friendly staff, hot fresh meals, decent lunch prices. 👍👍👍

I love ordering their lunch special. The fried rice is a bit sticky and the food tastes homemade. It is also a competitive price. I have also ordered catering for a get together. The price was good and all the trays of food were ready on time.

TOO GREASY, TOO MUCH OIL. if you're on a low fat diet Foget it, this place will run your cholesterol up! Tofu has a bad aftertaste. Cashier is LOUD!

The dine in is partially open there are only two tables available for it, the place looks messy with all the chairs on top of the tables. Despite this, the food was hot and fresh.

The chef was rude and dirty. He was terribly dirty. Unacceptible! I recommend them to change their chef.

My husband and I tried this place today for lunch; it's near our new home and we're looking for a go-to place. Unfortunately, this won't be it. Although the portions were plentiful, the sauces were only so-so, and even the white rice was more bland than it should have been. The rangoons were huge, until we bit into them and they were nearly empty of crab or cream cheese. Just big crispy, tough, oily bags of air. The egg rolls were small and also disappointing. The hunt continues...

I don’t have the most experience with Chinese food, so I ordered recommendation their pork fired rice. It was delicious and filling. Definitely coming back for more.

Unfortunately, the entire meal was terrible. Lukewarm & tasteless. Pu-pu platter: all was waaay overcooked, dry and tasteless. Egg drop soup was tasty ( wonton soup may have been the worst we've ever tasted. Singapore Noodles: no flavor, no curry, no spice. Dumplings? Zero taste. Used Postmates; they were good. The meal was such a disappointment. $70 wasted.

I like this local neighborhood Chinese food joint. The food was hot and fresh. Pretty tasty. Slightly pricey but they didn't skimp on the meat! Maintaining a good portion of meat whether pricey or not is rare, so keep that in the back of your mind. I'll definitely keep Hunan Cafe in my local joint rotation. There's just a few suggestions that I have: cut waaaay down on the grease and added sodium and maybe add some faux meat items to the menu. Other than that, thanks for being there for us in the time of COVID. Bottom line: You won't go away hungry if you've a hankering

The only thing good there is the rice. I ordered a beef with broccoli and a Singapore rice noodles. The beef was slimming and the broccoli was over cooked the Singapore had no taste and it was full of overcooked onions. The only good of my $65 order was the fried rice.
I regret ordering over and over from them thinking that they have fixed it but this is my last time, they are in my neighborhood and I want to collaborate.

The restaurant is take out and delivery only but that hasn't stopped me from going. I Picked up a pork fried rice with bean sprouts and scallions yesterday on my way home and it was a absolutely amazing. The pork had a bit of sweetness to it and the vegetables added a nice crunch to it. Adding a little bit of the house hot chili oil really tied the dish together for a great meal. An added bonus was that the portions was big enough for me to have leftovers for the next day.

Best Chinese food. Big portions and surprisingly filling food for Chinese food which usually isn’t filling at all. Enough portions for 2 meals worth honestly it’s amazing. Delicious food and excellent service.

Not bad. Delivery came in the 40 min they quoted. The ordering system from their site was a little annoying. It kept saying pick up ready in 20 when I wrote delivery but there was a $1 delivery charge. I think they dont have call waiting... had to call 5 times to get someone on the phone. Flavor of food was decent. Lot of carrots in chicken with garlic sauce. Crab rangoon... def has barely any filing. But over all one of the better ones in cville.

Hunan is my must-go Chinese restaurant in centerville. They provide high-quality and fast service and delicious food. Recently, I have to use delivery service due to the covid-19 . Their delivery speed is also quite fast. It was hot and fresh when I got it. That's great! By the way. I love their seafood best. fresh and delicious! That's suuuuper nice!

My wife and I visited Hunan for the first time in over twenty years of living in the area. I guess we don't eat Chinese food that often. This Sunday evening though we wanted to celebrate the new year and decided to order carry out.

We tried calling them a couple of times around 5pm but it kept going to voice mail. I hopped on their website to order which was very easy to do from my phone but didn't quite complete the order as my wife got through the old fashion way.

We have been ordering from Human Cafe for years. Food is quality , consistent and delivered hot and direct from the store with their own drivers. The ordering apps are fine and we use them but it's not as good as calling in the order and having it delivered by drivers from the restaurant. Solid local place.

This is a good Chinese quick bite, and they deliver to my house. There are worse Asian food spots in Centerville, and these guys are always saving my life around six o'clock when my young girls are losing their minds and I don't have the free hands to cook.

Food is pretty decent here for a takeout Chinese restaurant but the service here is horrible. The girl at the register had so much attitude and didn't even put in the correct order and when I corrected the order before she placed it she got even more annoyed and threw my card on the table after charging me.

The general tso is decent. The pork mei fun was delicious and I definitely recommend. Service was quick and there is no table service in the dining area, order at the counter and seat yourself.

Great little spot, quick service, delicious food! Dine in or carry out. They give large portions and I had enough for two meals!

Meh it was okay. I got the hibachi chicken. The chicken wasn't cut up properly so each piece was like a long strand of chicken pieces. The texture wasn't right for hibachi either- the chicken didn't have that nice sear on it. The main issue was the flavor. It didn't have any. I DOUSED it in hot sauce and even still... meh

I will start of with saying how polite and nice the young lady was that helped me.


I ha heard such good things about this place. I was so excited to order take out only to be totally disappointed. I ordered the hibachi steak with fried rice. The steak was bone dry and burnt to the point that I couldn't even eat it. I also ordered the hot and sour soup. It was this like warm gelatinous goop. Getting all the way home I didn't know what to do. Do I call them and let them know? Or just let it go. very dissatisfied.


I just received a very nice email from this restaurant. They apologized

$77 for dinner and chicken fried rice was the only thing worth eating.

The crab ragoon were over breaded triangles not the normal folded squares and tasteless.

The double delight had no scallops and over cooked shrimp, yuck.

The peppered beef and onions was two scoops of meat and the rest onions crammed into a take out container, the meat was tasty for the four bites I had of it.

Eggdop soup hard to mess up right? Crummy noodles and cold soup, any other place usually has this piping hot.


They are new and use a cool app for ordering so I hope they get their act together, to many other
