Ho-hum. ANOTHER Chinese-run, Japanese 'sushi' restaurant with gooey 'sauces', ridiculously oily tempura (note to management: you may want to change the cooking oil every once in awhile) and far too much rice for the nigiri and maki. With a name like 'Ginza' what do you expect?
The fish was not very fresh and the rice under the nigiri was much too densely packed and the ratio to non-rice ingredients to rice in the futomaki was far too much rice. On the plus side, parking is easy and access is a breeze. Prices were standard for Milwaukee.

I've been coming here for at least five years, and both the service and food have consistently been the best I've had! The food is fresh and prepared with great care. The sushi chefs always make sure their presentation is impeccable whether it's a $10 plate or $50 plate! Joe, the owner is always hospitable, welcoming, and always attentive. The servers, especially Tina and Emma are especially great! When serving not only me, but other guests, they are always genuinely nice, authentic, and knowledgeable no matter how busy they may be.

I was in town and decided to try some sushi from my home state. Affter researching yelp i decided on this olace being they were one of the few dine in sushi spots.. Upon arrival i was greeted and sat fairly quickly. As soon as te menu was handed pver i was asked what i wanted to drink and if i knew what i wanted. I azked for a couple minutes and it took the waitress over 15min to come back. I brushed it off..ordered lemonade and then asked which of the sushi rolls were cooked and the waitress couldnt understand or tell me. So we both looked at the menu. I finally decided to try my luck and tried

My favorite sushi place in Wauwatosa! Locally owned small business that puts a lot of care into everything they do! I have dined in and received very kind, attentive service even when ordering for specific dietary needs. Happy hour is fun on a weeknight and their Lychee Martini is delicious and strong so watch out! Lol. I have ordered take out at Ginza also and received a neatly packaged order within 25 minutes. Try this place!

Tried this place for the first time & loved their sushi because of the quality & how they pair their flavors together!
We had the Jason Roll, Spider Roll, Spicy Salmon Roll, Silent Screaming Roll,& Angel Hair Roll.
If you come here try all of these & you won't regret it!
The Angel hair roll was so amazing because it has crab wrapped around it! The Jason Roll is a baked roll that tasted amazing because the cream cheese melted with the other ingredients.
I will for sure be coming here again! Amazing service & food.

Excellent and creative presentation of good. I always get their miso soup Before Everything else. Try their deep fried avocado appetizer, lots of flavor! A few of my favorite rolls:
Electric shock
Anything with salmon or tempura
Service was good. The staff was friendly.
Price wise, sushi is usually expensive but worth it. Not my every day meal / diet but it's worth splurging for.
The mango friend ice cream was okay, I would try the green tea or vanilla next time.

Took my brother here to try some sushi and Ginza was great for that. We were greeted immediately and we got seated right away.
The decor is very modern and it's all red and black which gives a very modern artistic Asian feel to the place. They have an elaborate sushi menu with tons of options. We were decently hungry so we got the Sushi platter and a Salmon roll with avacado and tempura (can't remember the name but our server recommended it and it was yum).
They also have specials during the week - there was a tempura roll which was on specials today. I would be keen to try the Japanese

I went to Ginza Japanese Restaurant with some coworkers and loved it. I ordered the California roll, which I found out from my friends "isn't real sushi" but I like it anyway. I also ordered the Beef Yaki Undon on recommendation of our waitress Abby. The dish is stir fried noodles with beef, delicious! The portions where sufficient and price appropriate. I'd recommend Ginza Japanese Restaurant if your in Milwaukee.
I almost forgot to mention, when I checked in on Yelp, I received 15% off an entree!

This place was so good! The sushi was amazing. I had the crunchy roll and it was served different than I have ever had. All the middle was mixed together, super good! The mochi was amazing and super fresh. The service was quick but probably because it was around 9 when we ate. I bet the place gets lots of customers, it is very good. If I lived out here I would for sure be getting sushi a lot.

We ordered to go and I have to say this may have been the most thoughtfully packaged food ever, in the history of to-go food. Forgive me, I failed to take a picture of it all...but everything was packaged separately to not over saturate and the Goyza had a long, flat container just for potstickers so they can could lay flat and not stick together and steam. The extra care they take in the packaging and trying to carry over the presentation of food was/is appreciated.
Now on to the food. The Goyza was delicious. Subtle in flavor but good. The dipping sauce slightly sweet and salty - a perfect

Ginza is a great option for sushi in the suburbs. It's never too crowded and the variety of rolls available is on par with any other sushi restaurant around. Prices are completely reasonable as well.
Ginza has some great specials throughout the week including deals on wine and free appetizers with the purchase of certain drinks. I can understand that some people might be put off by the somewhat "slowness" of the restaurant and may incorrectly think that the food isn't good quality because it's not always packed. I have never had a bad experience at Ginza and we've

What's happened to this place?
I used to really like it.
Ordered yellowtail tartare appetizer (never heard of that so it caught my attention). It was served with pringles chips?! It had TONS of filler Japanese bread crumbs in the fish, I've never had any kind of tartare with tons of breadcrumbs in it. So that made it dry, too. No kind of moisture or sauce, as they bread crumbs likely took it all. And on top of that crazy salty. I didn't see any soy sauce, so it must've been regular table salt. It was so bad. I could not and did not want to eat it so I sent it back. The server
