John is the owner and all his other guys that drive the tow trucks are so extra friendly they go out of their way to help you even if it's something that you can't afford they will help you out no matter what you'll never be stranded if you call Alton area towing just ask for John tell him crystal sent yeah

Highly recommend! Thank you for saving my day today. I called roadside assistance through my insurance company because I came out of the dentist office this morning to a dead battery. I didn't have jumper cables nor did anybody else I asked. My insurance company dispatched a different company first.. 2 and a half hours of being stranded, 5 calls to RA and frustration level off the charts, my insurance dispatched this company. Within a minute of me hanging up with RA I received a call from Dave who introduced himself and verified all my vehicle and location information. He was very professional

I needed my car moved from a storage unit to a repair shop 50 miles away. Every other towing place I talked to said, " Call us on the day you need it moved and we will see if we can get you in." John at Alton Area Towing said, "Call us that morning and we will have someone there in 30 minutes." So, I did, and the driver arrived there in exactly 30 minutes. Driver was courteous and friendly, loaded car and delivered it safely and quickly to repair shop. Price was also 20% less than any other place. I would highly recommend this company.

Locked myself out of my vehicle downtown Grafton at 4:00 on a Sunday. Not many places were taking calls especially so far out, but Mr. Swengrosh responded quickly, was well within the quotes timeframe, and had my truck unlocked quickly and efficiently with no trouble (had one once that chipped my paint, but Mr. Swengrosh was careful and took necessary precautions to prevent damage). Really appreciated his prompt, professional assistance!

of your workers was on interstate 270 clearly drunk, hit the back of his tow truck off the construction site barrier also knocking 3 construction cones onto the interstate lane. He proceeded to not slow down or stop and hit another guard rail. He then hit the exit sign swerving off the interstate and swerving all the way down the off ramp. I followed calling the police because clearly he was drunk. They already have the license plate number and your company phone number. He drove around aimlessly while swerving and almost hitting several more guardrails and cars. Then proceeded to get out

I have used Alton area towing multiple times. I was hours away from home and they were there within a few hours towed my car all the way to their shop and took me home as well. Every time I’ve called for help they’re right there to help me. I will always use and recommend Alton area towing. I applaud every employee for being so caring and quick with their services!

I would never call them.
Took them 2 ½ hours to arrive.
Failed to properly secure my new motorcycle (750 miles) and it drop. More than four thousand dollars in damages.
No apologies from the owner or drive.
The driver told me to buy the parts, he would reimburse me, and they would install them!
Hung up on me when I told him the cost.
The owner called and appogized two dayslater, and threaten to sue me for telling the truth.

I broke down 45 minutes from home and I called Alton Area for a tow. The price was reasonable for such a long distance. It was freezing cold on a Sunday afternoon and CJ answered and arrived at my location very quickly and went above and beyond. I had him tow it back to their shop and the mechanic Dave had my car repaired by Tuesday morning. Would recommend!
