Rafel LLC is a disability insurance law firm representing people seeking short term and long term disability benefits and long term care. From her home base in Florham Park, NJ, attorney Bonny Rafel helps individuals navigate through the difficult process of filing for disability with insurance companies, and fighting for their benefits when the claims are denied.
She helps the elderly with long term care claims, because these vulnerable aged individuals need protection from insurers denying coverage. Her hands-on approach to each case with her team of experienced paralegals creates a strong offense, used daily to deal with insurers who are most interested in denying claims, rather than paying claims.

We help you by carefully assembling your medical records, and evaluating whether the medical record accurately charts your course toward disability. Did the doctor fail to record material objective information now essential to proving your disability? Are there records that contradict the progressive medical condition and its impact on you?
There are several disability income benefits that may be available to you. In New Jersey, most employers must either contribute to state mandatory TDB benefits coverage or have their own short term disability coverage for up to six months of disability. Alternatively, many employers offer "salary continuation benefits" for the first three or six months of disability.

I cannot thank Ms. Rafel enough for successfully appealing my Long-Term Disability Benefit. It's such a relief to just breathe again. She made the appeal process stress-free, and with my health condition, stress is the last thing I need. My special thanks to Ms. Rafel associate Eileen for her professionalism and attentiveness. I highly recommend Ms. Rafel to anyone who needs representation in a disability claim.

Bonny and her staff are the epitome of professionalism. When I came to them I was five years into my condition and was facing an employer who was hostile to my situation. Bonny immediately set up game plan and executed that plan to a tee. I am retired now, but when I first met Bonny I was a trial attorney with 25 years experience working for an insurance company. I thought I could handle this myself. WRONG. You need an experienced attorney who specializes in the field of disability law. Bonny is that attorney. A few final thoughts: don't be alarmed at her fee. She is worth every penny. Her hourly

After living with chronic disease for 10 years I finally realized I could no
longer continue my commute to NYC and work the long hours needed to succeed at my profession. It’s was an extremely difficult time for me and my family as I tried to alter my professional aspirations while protecting everything I worked hard to achieve over a 27 year career.
What was I entitled to under the ADA? What accommodations made sense and what should I ask my employer for? Could I leverage my supplemental LTD policies to recoup lost wages?

Finding myself with sudden, life altering and complicated health concerns I knew that I would need more than just medical help. I would need legal advice as well to protect everything that I have worked so hard for. This is not the kind of legal matter that I had prepared for (most of us don't). So, the search online leads me to Bonny G Rafel.
Six months on, I can honestly now say that it was one of the best decisions that I have ever made. I have found the entire group to be "Exceptional". They are dedicated, knowledgeable, prompt, helpful, detail oriented and the list goes on. With every interaction

This firm was really awful towards me: and I just do not understand. I called there interested in obtaining representation for my case. I was polite and kind throughout the whole conversation when I had called. I let her know what had been going on. The first person I talked to was okay. She was kind when we talked on the phone. I answered all of the questions that she had, and she was really nice to me. However, then she transferred the call: to talk to another person that was there. The second woman I talked to rushed through everything to get me off of the phone. I did not even get to explain
