The process of finding a counselor can be daunting. How do you know they can help? Will you get along with them? In order to ensure a good counselor-client fit, we offer a free 30-minute phone consultation. During the 30 minutes, clients will be given the opportunity to briefly describe their needs, ask questions, present concerns and get to know the counselor.
Deciding whether or not therapy is the right direction for you can be overwhelming. The best course to take would be to determine what it is you feel you are struggling with. Therapy can be helpful for a variety of concerns from daily life stressors, to family or relationship distress, to severe mental illness.
Erika Johnson has been more than amazing for my family! She was very, very good with our daughter. After seeing a few other therapist, she quickly built a relationship with not only our daughter, but my husband and I as well. She helped us get our lives back. I began seeing Erika during a low moment in my life when my family had been through a traumatic event.

Sorry, but we were not thoroughly impressed. Many times it seemed she was waiting for her turn to talk instead of listening. In fact, she made a habit of interrupting. She probably talked about 70% of the time. A counselor’s job is to get you to talk and then give you feedback, not to lecture you.
We had a few sessions with her then canceled and went somewhere else. She didn’t even want to know why we left.

It is unfortunate when you leave bad reviews for people but I think this should be helpful to you. If I could leave you no stars I would. You are incredibly rude and entitled and for being someone who is supposed to help people In and out of work, and bring people up, you like to feel powerful and make people feel awful for doing their jobs. I hope that the people under your care don’t do any type of sales job. It’s the little things In life that add up and it’s the little moments that push people into depression and sadness and you doing big gestures but your little moments you are not a

Since opening my own private practice, Perceptions LLC, in 2013 we have partnered with Mindful Connections Mental Health and Dr. Johnson in a myriad of ways. We have worked together for marketing purposes, shared office space, and referred clients to each other throughout the years. We have even had the opportunity to share clients in consultative and conjoint therapies. There are few clinicians I would trust as highly as I do Dr. Johnson. She is confident, compassionate, and extremely competent. She excels in particular in the areas of group therapy and personality disorders, and she has an intense

Dr. K is a compassionate and knowledgeable therapist. Starting therapy is not the easiest thing, and her ability to identify key areas of growth while maintaining a good relationship continues to impress me. Over the time I've known Dr K (or Johnson, now!) I've seen her commitment to ethical and responsible--yet somehow still FUN-- approach to treatment. Although I would say her real strength lies in devising creative cognitive behavioral interventions, I have also participated in psychodramas and other group modalities under her direction. I know when I go to her with a problem, she won't let
