Cute spot off Congress with outdoor seating. Great food, drinks and nice atmosphere. However, when we finished our meal and were just talking the hostess came and asked us to get up so another table could sit down. I’ve never been asked to leave by a restaurant before, it was very rude and ruined the experience for me.

If you are looking for a quick in and out restaurants this place is not for you. This beautiful restaurant is meant to relax and enjoy the ambience and your company while waiting for your food to be freshly made. I could smell the amazing aromas coming out of the kitchen and just knew it was going to be good. I ventured out and tried Verdi Gnocchi for the first time and so glad I did. The food was amazingly delicious and can't wait to come back next time we are in Austin.

Hands down one of the best meals I've had in Texas for some time...and I'm from Texas.
1st you can see the capital when you walk in and that's beyond amazing.
The atmosphere is amazing and actually feels like you're not in Texas. The smells from the kitchen and the wood burning oven are mouth watering.
The food is made from scratch and simply to die for. We ate way to much and drank as much.
Highly recommend....this meal will unfortunately effect all other meal ratings in 2021.

I tried out this place on my Friday night dinner with my family and a friend. As long as I have been in Austin I never even heard of this place so I was pretty excited. It was located right on Congress and is family owned so something I thought I needed to try.
We were seated right away even though the place was pretty lively. The waitress was quick to help us and answered all questions. I ordered a pizza and spaghetti both of which I split with my friend. The food here was decent and they also had baskets of bread free bread before the meal while we waited. The gelato here was absolutely fantastic

Family owned genuine Italian. This food reminded me of rustic Italian cooking. I liked the natural favors of the food. Breads are homemade. Cannoli was the best I have had in Austin. Service was good. Restaurant is a bit warm inside, but this is a building built in the 1800s. Don't let this stop you from trying this one.
