Services
Our Young Men's classes focus on the aspects of training that are specific for the male dancer. While many of the technical requirements in ballet are the same among boys and girls, there are also those that are different for a male dancer, particularly athleticism. Classes will include strength training, injury prevention, anatomy and Pilates, Dance History and French terminology.
Progressing Ballet Technique is an innovative program that will assist students in understanding the depth of training muscle memory in order to achieve their personal best in classical ballet/dance training and fitness. Originally developed in Australia at The National College of Dance/The Marie Walton-Mahon Dance Academy, this program was brought to the United States by Megan Berlint-Nicko as Progressing Ballet Technique US.
This class will introduce you to the vocabulary and positions of classical ballet. You will learn the fundamentals of ballet with exercises at the Barre and Center and may also include Floor Barre and Pilates. Whether you are continuing your studies or have taken a leave of absence due to life circumstances or injuries, this class is for you!
We are so proud to have Nigel Tau as part of our Guest Faculty this year! Nigel will be a part of our Summer Intensives as well as a Mentor in our Young Men's Program. Nigel began dancing at age 10 in his home town of Savannah, Georgia at local studios: The Academy of Dance and The Ballet School.

In 2013, he joined Next Generation Ballet as a trainee, and performed in the school's own productions as well as with Opera Tampa and the Florida Symphony Orchestra. From there he went on to train with BalletMet on a full scholarship, where he performed and rehearsed alongside the company in shows such as the Great Gatsby and Cinderella.
It is our special pleasure to welcome Ms. Martha Goodman to our studio once again this year! Ms. Goodman has been part of our Guest Faculty since 2010, involved in Pre-Professional Summer Intensives and Master Classes.

In addition to her many international credits in choreography, dance and teaching, Martha is the daughter of the late Kyle Goodman, who was the chief engineer at WTOC before becoming ill, and the late Mrs. Ruth Goodman, a Savannah legend in the world of Ballet and Theater. We are so proud to continue the legacy that was Ruth's with the assistance of her daughter and our mentor, Martha!

A true dance school. I felt welcomed, challenged, and happy here. It rare to find a dance school that can work with men and boys.
