I had been suffering for years, waking up every day with a wrecked body and muscle spasms, thinking it was me. Turns out it was my mattress. The salespeople at Long's helped me find just the right bed. Now I wake up every morning feeling great and not having to restore my body to some baseline minimum state. The staff at Long's not only sat on the phone with me and talked through every type of mattress and comfort level, but also ensured that I would have the mattress to sleep on that very night! The delivery men walked it down the street and up the stairs within 20 minutes of my frantic phone call! I will definitely be shopping here for my next one.

I bought a sofa bed from Long's April 2019, had to have it repaired within the first 3 wks, then had another problem, now a bar that supports the sofa has broken & now the company & the manufacturer Rowe Furniture expect me to pay $550 for transportation & labor. This sofa bed has been a lemon since day 1 & was not cheap over $2,000. The owner 's daughter is one of the rudest people I have ever encountered, as she finally told me throw the couch out & get a new one. I would advise do not use this company & now I know why it was empty last week when I there.

We recently went to Long's Bedding for the first time when we were looking for a mattress for my son. We had no idea what we wanted or where to start but Terri went over all of our options with us so we could make a decision. She was very knowledgeable and friendly to work with without making us feel pressured. They were also able to get us our mattress quickly despite the holiday week and snowstorms. The showroom was very clean and felt safe as everyone was wearing masks while we were there. I would highly suggest visiting this store for all of your bedding needs!

The quality and selections of beds offered by Long’s bedding are terrific. The sales associates were extremely helpful in showing me beds that would be right for me and my family. The delivery personnel were top notch and made sure everything was delivered properly snd where I wanted it before they would leave. It was an overall wonderful experience. This is the best place to purchase a mattress in New York City. First off, it’s a family-owned business that has been around for decades. Also, they have a wide range of mattresses both in terms of support and prices. I went in hoping for an easy mattress shopping experience and it far exceeded my expectations. The entire staff and family owners from beginning to delivery were very kind, knowledgeable, and patient. They made the process so easy. The delivery and set up men were terrific. They even came back immediately to change the height of the frame so it was easier to get in and out of bed.

Truly excellent experience with Bob, Judie, and the rest of the team. Bob was incredibly patient as my wife and I tried bed after bed, and then tried our top three beds over and over again. Bob was very knowledgeable about all of the beds in the showroom and guided us as we critiqued each bed with our particular likes and dislikes. We picked an excellent mattress that we have enjoyed over the past four months, and we got a great price for the bed. We are very satisfied!

Just had the most amazing experience at Long’s Bedding’s new UES location. I’ve been purchasing our beds from Long’s for the past few years while living in NYC. We have just decided to move to NJ and called to see if they could deliver, because I don’t trust anyone else to help me pick a mattress or deliver it with care and in these times, safety. Just had the best experience shopping at Long's in an otherwise crazy time. We bought beds from Long's when we moved apts on the UES a few years back for our kids' bunkbeds. They were simple and affordable, but every time an adult guest has come to visit and slept in the bunkbeds, they always tell me how surprisingly comfortable the mattresses are. Now we are sadly in the position where we are leaving the city for NJ and I decided that after not having purchased a bed for myself in the last 18 years that it was time. We've been customers of Long's Bedding for forty years. They are the best! Every bed we've bought from them has been perfect! They even sent a bed to our second home in France for us. I went into the store a couple of weeks ago and Bob Long (a legend in his own time) helped me. Such a great experience to find a business like this still exists. No pressure, lots of expertise and cordial, relaxed conversation thrown in for good measure. The delivery was flawless and the bed is exactly what I want.
I will miss the store on 72nd but will definitely use Long's at their new 3rd Ave store. Nothing beats this old school family owned store.

My wife and I just got our first apartment, and we needed a new (king) size bed. A family member said we should check out Longs, and we were just blown away with the customer service and quality. The store is nothing glamorous (though we hear the new location will be fresh and modern), but you come here for the service and quality. These people are not big box salesmen just pushing product, but know that giving quality attention and spending time with you will make customers come back, and even pass on to the next generation.

This review is fourteen years overdue, but, for what it's worth, Long's was 5 stars fourteen years ago when I bought my first bed there, and it's still 5 stars now, having just sent me daughter and son-in-law there to get a bed for their first apartment, and it's been five-stars all those years in between during which time I've sent many friends to Long's for beds, and every damn one of them has been thankful for the recommendation (and, if you knew me, you would know that my friends are, shall we say, not the easiest to please of individuals!). My boyfriend and I had such a great experience buying a mattress here! Bob and Judie are so lovely and personable and took the time to find out in detail what exactly we had and what exactly we were looking for. We found a bed we liked in about 15 minutes for a great sale price for the set and added on some pillows. We honestly can't wait to sleep on it, and according to Bob, it's gonna happen within a few days! Truly no hassle and as everyone else here has said, the family business experience can't be beat. I am writing a LONG overdue (no pun intended) review of Long's Bedding. Like most, I was suckered into the zillion-dollar advertising campaigns from one of those all-too-familiar "chain" stores throughout the years. When a friend recommended Long's to me, I decided to give them a try. Long story short (pun maybe intended this time), I will never shop anywhere else again for my mattress/bedding needs! My husband and I absolutely adore our new mattress and our children adore theirs as well. The prices are extremely reasonable and there is a range to fit everyone's budget

They promised to give us a few days notice and instead called and said that the sofa was on the truck and they were coming right then - even though we protested and said that it was inconvenient. We had planned take a day to find a good home for our old couch. Instead we had to have them take the couch out. They sent too few people and made gashes in our wall. I called and was told that we must have misunderstood because they would never do just deliver something without making a previous appointment. They took no responsibility.

I received a crib mattress from Long's Bedding as a gift for my newborn. He loves it so much, and has been sleeping through the night since practically the first night we moved him from the bassinet into the crib! Each night we notice how comfy and soft the crib looks and we want to jump right in with him. Last weekend, we went out of town and the poor kid had a very difficult time sleeping in a portable crib with a very thin mattress. When we came back home he literally rubbed his face back and forth with delight, falling peacefully to sleep. We couldn't be happier with this mattress

No wonder this firm has been in business for 104 years. I got careful attention when I was seeking a new mattress, and delivery and setup took place exactly in the window scheduled by people who knew what they were doing. Very happy.
For some reason Long's doesn't take away old mattresses, as even the cheapie mattress chains do, so this had to be arranged with my super. That service would make them five-star.
