Our business was started by Jerry and Connie Fister in the early 1980s as a part time tax practice in the den of the family's Fullerton home. Over the years we have grown through acquisitions and referrals to a practice of over 900 clients.

Our current client base is a blend of long time clients who can trace their origins back to businesses once owned and operated by seasoned tax accountants Ken Caldwell, Norm Coker, Alice Lether, Virginia Brier, Angie DeLong, Warren Engfer and Paul Friedman.We have tried to carry on their legacy of personalized, professional service with the care and concern you would expect from a member of your family.

Our Chief Tax Accountant is Gerald L. Fister, EA. Jerry received his Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting from Cal State University Long Beach in 1972 and his Master of Business Administration degree (MBA) from Cal State University Fullerton in 1981. He earned his Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certificate in 1983 and became an Enrolled Agent (EA) Admitted to Practice Before the Internal Revenue Service in 1989.

Have you just started a new business? Did you know expenses incurred before a business begins operations are not allowed as current deductions? Generally, these start up costs must be amortized over a period of 180 months beginning in the month in which the business begins. However, based on the current tax provisions, you may elect to deduct up to $5,000 of business start-up and $5,000 of organizational costs paid or incurred.
