Five Cities Pediatric Dental Group & Orthodontics has served Pismo Beach, Grover Beach, Arroyo Grande, Nipomo, Oceano, and surrounding communities in San Luis Obispo and northern Santa Barbara counties since 2011. Dr. Irma Perez Martinez and Dr. Giancarlo Lauriente specialize in pediatric dentistry and orthodontics, and they provide comprehensive dental care for infants, children, and teenagers of the central coast.

Using modern dental materials and technology, we scientifically assess each child's risk for dental decay and develop individualized strategies for cavity prevention. Services
Bea graduated the Dental Assisting Program at Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria and has been in pediatric dentistry ever since. As an RDA, she has extensive chairside experience, but has found a niche for helping our patients and parents in the front office. In her spare time she loves to laugh with her family and friends.
Dr. Irma is a board-certified pediatric dentist who was born and raised on the beautiful Caribbean island of Puerto Rico. She is also a specialist in orthodontics. After graduating with honors from dental school, she was admitted to the UCLA School of Dentistry where she studied for four years, completing advanced specialty training programs in both pediatric dentistry and orthodontics.
With his lifelong ties to the Five Cities community, Dr. Giancarlo loves working with kids of the central coast and helping them to enjoy a lifetime of good oral health. Raised in Arroyo Grande, Dr. Giancarlo is extremely grateful to have the chance to give back to his local community. He enjoyed being involved with community groups such as Scouting and youth sports while he grew up.
Five Cities Pediatric Dental Group & Orthodontics is conveniently located directly beside northbound Route 101 in Pismo Beach, about one mile from Judkins Middle School. The staff is so friendly and my 4 year old felt so comfortable during his first visit! The office is so warm and inviting, the cleaning room is awesome with the TVs on the ceiling for the kids to watch during… their cleaning and my son even got a sweet balloon animal after his cleaning was all done. Will definitely be coming back!

I switched my children to this practice a year ago and couldn't be happier. My daughter had a negative experience at her previous dentist's office during xrays. When we came to Five Cities Pediatric Dental Group I was very nervous when they said she needed new xrays. I was so relieved when my daughter didn't shed one tear. They were patient, kind, and wonderful at making kids comfortable. Both of my kids, 7 and 4 years old, look forward to their dental visits.

Best pediatric dental office in the Central Coast area!! The dentists and all technicians are so friendly and very gentle with the kiddos. Very meticulous services but they have that knack for putting the kiddos and parents at ease with all procedures. Never seen a kid shed a tear at this dental office.

Diana was extremely patient with my son and he was also very comfortable with the whole experience. He is three years old and it was his second time visiting the dentist, first time at this office. Prices are reasonable, if you are paying out of pocket. Dr Irma was good with my son as well and put him at ease. Definitely experienced staff and great dental office overall.

We have been taking our children to this office for the past two years. My almost 4 year old had treatment done for the first time and we had a wonderful experience. He has his crown and filling done awake with nitrogen oxide and local anesthetic and the doctor made the experience very easy for my son. We have more treatment to be done and I am happy to know he is in good hands.

I have 4 kids, all of them seen by Dr Irma. At first I was very impressed with their office and the kindness of the staff. But then....they gave horrible treatment advice for my 4 year old (TWICE!). Then they flat out lied to my anxious 8 year old, she didn't trust them any more, and refused to have them treat her. We now go to Dr. Forrester's office in SLO. Just go there. They are so much better. And they can fix cavities without Novocain.
More details for those who want them...my 4 year old had visible cavities in his bottom teeth. They were unable to get x-rays of the teeth

Dr. Giancarlo is one of the nicest, most capable dentists we've ever had the pleasure of seeing. Amber was extremely helpful, patient and kind as well.
Our guy isn't big on going to the dentist but they make it a breeze with their compassion, atmosphere and skill. They create a fun atmosphere (see the pics!)
