My name is Dave Kocemba and my wife and I started Junk Happens 9 years ago. We began as high school sweethearts while growing up in Cottage Grove, MN. Fast forward and we now have three children and a business we work hard at and are immensely proud of. We are hometown folks who saw a need for someone to haul away the no longer needed items that accumulate in daily life.

We immediately received an appointment for an estimate the next day between 12-2.

The JH crew was just here to haul away a couple of pieces of old, heavy furniture we've been wanting to get rid of for years. The two guys arrived right on time, & were friendly and professional and handled the job perfectly. Also, JH provided one of the best bids out of the 8 places that I contacted. Highly recommended.

When my mother moved out of the large home where she and my father lived for 56 years and raised 7 children, we had a huge task getting rid of all the accumulated stuff. I had heard about the stellar work of Junk Happens and gave them a call.
I received an estimate right away and scheduled a date for them to come out. The day before the junk removal date I received a call confirming the time and all the details, something I appreciate. When the workers arrived they all introduced themselves and we walked through the home and garage to indicate the items we needed removed.

This was some of the best money we have ever spent. Dave, the owner, was personally engaged in explaining their services, had me text him photos to provide an estimate making it easy, and was just all-around pleasant to work with. The gentlemen who came to remove our items were amazing - super-courteous, and super-talented! When they pulled up and opened the back of the truck, it was about 1/3 full and I thought, oh my gosh they will never be able to fit all of our things into this truck. Fast forward two hours later and they had cleaned out the entire house and done some amazing tetris-like arranging

Had a Sofa Sleeper Full Sized removed. James and Ali were very professional and were very careful in my home not to scratch any doors or elevators or wall. I was very pleased with the cost also. I wish all my customer service experiences were like this. I was able to schedule an appointment two days prior. They called to say they were ahead of schedule and asked if they could come about an hour earlier. It fit my schedule and actually made my life easier. The delivery people bringing the new furniture would have an easier job if the old stuff was already gone. They showed up when they said they would, were careful getting everything out of my house, and were overall friendly while doing so. All at a reasonable price.

We contacted Junk Happens to get a quote for removal of a king mattress and box spring, and a hide a bed sofa. The price was very reasonable and they were able to schedule a pick up within two days. They were also very accommodating when we asked about adding an additional sofa for pick up. The two men that showed up were very friendly and removed everything quickly. Definitely would recommend based on customer service and prices!

I have been moving junk with me for over 10 years....the old college TV, the IKEA cabinet that has seen better days, etc. The staff was so kind and courteous. My window was 9-11am, they were here at 8:55! They were cautious and efficient! By far and away the least expensive service out there based on a few quotes I got. Less expensive does not me any sacrifice in the quality of service! I would happily use them again in the future!!!
